Clarkson - Supercar Showdown (DVD)

This was bought for a nine year old boy who loves Top Gear. It shows Jeremy Clarkson playing in top sports cars. It also has the "Stig" who is a real bonus for boys as he drives the cars very fast, very well.
The boy loved this DVD and will watch it over and over again.It will appeal to big and little boys who like JC and fast cars.

I liked it, worth the hour or so. Might even watch it a few times. Best car is Bugatti Veyron, awesome engineering!

if you love fast cars then evryone knows that jeremy clarkson is the man for you..he has driven near enough every sports car on this planet and smetimes even smashed them up..you get tosee some of the worlds best cars in this dvd and as always jeremy throws a lttle comedy in as well.

I bought this DVD for a stocking filler for Christmas. At 99p it was super value and proved interesting to watch - especially as my husband is a Jeremy Clarkson and Top Gear fan. The product came quickly, worked and was new and still packaged. For under a pound, it was great value.

I liked the format of this DVD, informative & entertaining. Hubby liked the content & vehicles. Is good for watching a couple of times but wouldn't be a regular DVD screening in our house.

Brilliant DVD if you like supercars and want to keep the little ones occupied and you learn about all the different cars as well. Excellent value.

You know what this will be and it is. If you like cars and Clarkson, then you cant go wrong with this really.

As a major top gear fan i really liked it.It was humouros and showed some of the very best supercars.I was happy to watch it twice in a short ammount of time.It is jeremy clarkson as he does best drive stupidly with expensive cars and critizize the gwiz and enviormentilism.

I bought this for my 11 yr old son who is a huge fan of Jeremy Clarkson and Top Gear. He has watched it a few times and there is no sign of him getting bored of it soon. A good bargain too on ebay!

I like it because its perfect for anyone who is a fan of top gear.
I found it interesting and not at all boring which i thought it would be if im honest.

Firstly, let me state that I am a huge Clarkson fan, so I bought this expecting the same entertainment I have become used to from his previous DVDs.

Unfortunately, if I was asked to describe it with just one word, the word chosen would be 'monotonous' Yes there are nice cars, yes there's plenty of oversteer and powersliding, but even for a car nut like myself, it gets a bit boring if that's all there is.

Not his best effort by a long way.

Bought this for my son who is a Top Gear fan!! i ended up watching it for him,Jeremy Clarkson at his best wittiest form,whilst delivering fact after fact about the supercars,,
Some realy funny bits in it as well,especisally te race between the Gwizz car and a table,,hilarious,, would recommend viewing.

I'm assuming that if you're reading this then you like Clarkson or Top Gear. If you're a Clarkson fan then this is a good buy as he does talk the whole way through, though it seems he's on auto pilot a little when describing the cars and the ride. Maybe it's because he's already done it all for Top Gear, or maybe he's just tired because it's so hot out in Spain where seemingly all the DVD was filmed. On an afternoon. By one guy. It's not all bad though as the cars are gorgeous and impressive and after watching, I really really wanted to drive my car on -that- track as it looked awesome.
Ultimately it's a great way to kill an hour but if you've seen Top Gear over the last year or two then there's nothing new here.

Excellent DVD in the Jeremy Clarkson style. Not a care about the world or any global warming issues, just mad cars and mad driving!

I actually bought this as an Easter prezzy for my 5yo son (he doesn't like choccy!)

He's autistic & fanatical about cars, bikes, Top Gear & Jeremy Clarkson!

My son has watched this DVD at least 10 times already & still bounces off the walls every time!

Whilst i fail to see the avid interest in everything he does (he watches the Audi Channel for petes sake!!!), i can wholeheartedly say that this DVD deserves every bit of his approval.

Clarkson is at his dry, witty best. His presenting is excellent all the way through - & even if you're not a fan i dare you not to find some of Clarksons commentary laugh out loud funny.

With 'Supercar' in the title the cars are, of course, fabulous. The Bugatti Veyron, Lambo Gallardo, Ferrari 430 & the Audi R8 to name a few. The showdowns are exciting, fast & a couple are even messy - but never dull.

And if you've ever asked yourself what is quicker - an eco-friendly car or a table? You'll even get that answered in this DVD!

Top this off with guests The Stig & Sabine Schmitz (of Nurburgring notoriety) & you've got yourself a great 76 mins of entertainment.

My only regret?

That i'd checked eBay out first... i paid £7 for this in Tesco!!!

Im sure that any young/old car enthusiasts will enjoy this dvd.

One of Clarkson's best recent offerings, but don't expect variety - it's supercars all the way. There's a lovely, "being there" feel to the filming, though, so if you daydream of supercars, this is a must-buy.
