City Of Angels (DVD 1999)

I have seen the film before and I wanted to see it again so as soon as I saw it I had to get it. It's a great love story and I love that sort of film. Two people falling in love from different worlds. Both Meg Ryan and Nicholas Cage are brilliant in it. A must buy.

this is my all time fav film. its a love story about two VERY different people from literally 2 different worlds. one is a successfull doctor and the other an angel. maggie ( meg ryan )is a heart surgeon, who doesnt believe in angels and seth (nicholas cage )is an angel who falls in love with maggie and must decide if he should forsake him immortality and FALL to earth to become human in the hope that maggie will love him back. this film is both beautiful and moving and will have you gasping till the last. get your tissues ready.

Bought it because I only ever see the end on the tele. Wanted to see the whole film.

Ive seen this movie a million times and could watch it a million more! I'm a huge Nicholas Cage fan and in this film he plays a really good part,He plays the part of an angel/messenger who falls in love and wants to give up his wings (so to speak) to be with the woman he loves, for those who haven't seen it make sure you have a box of tissues at the ready it pulls at the heart strings in a big way, A beautiful film, Highly Recommended by me.

Bought this item has I had it on video original. Excellent chick flick film. To watch on your own or with friends. Make sure you have the tissues handy.

perfect film for a girly night with tub of icecream and lots of tissues. an angel falls in love with a doctor, but in order to be with her he must become a human and seriface his immortal soul.

This is one of my best films of all times,this film has alot of hidden meanings in it.yes people say it is a chick flick and yes it is but with a lot of power and hidden depth's.Meg ryan is fantastic in this film she is so human and normal but with so much character and love inside her.the film would not be the same without her.Nicholas cage well he is excellent in this,you will never see him like this in any other film!he is so gentle and calm and the perfect man.he has no understanding of life touch smell or pain so he is in this dream land and wants to no the real life, why? you must watch and see 10/10 the best film to cuddle up to and relax.i wanted this film for years and thought im going to just bid on it and get a brilliant film to keep in my home x

Do not think that this film is just another rom com. It is a lot like one but also has a deeper message about life and how we should seize opportunities when we can and tell everyone exactly how we feel about them. This film is really good, and enjoyable but be prepared to reach for the tissue box once or twice.

i love this film and it makes me cry every time i see it. I decided to buy it cos nicholas cage is so hot in it and meg ryan is such a good actress.
Nicholas cage plays an angel who gives up everything for earthly love. I suppose its the dream of every woman to have a man who loves that much.

I decided to buy this classic film in DVD form as Ive already got it in VHS.
I think its just such a beautiful film ( Some may say a chick flick) but at the same time a very sad film.
I also like the music in the film as specially (In the arms of an angel)
I would recommend anyone in buying this film its an all time great for me.

This is a fantastic film if you have a spiritual side...I believe that angels do exist, we may not always see them but they help us in our daily lives without us always being aware of them!!! the film also has a really lovely romantic component to it aswell . happy watching!!!!

it sweeps you away and makes you think about life, love and risk. It is very captivating and I love it. Also I felt it was the best film that Nicolas Cage had ever done, shows a completely different way of acting for him (I think anyway). Meg Ryan is also very good in this film.

A very nice film involving an angel who falls in love with a human. He opts then to 'fall to earth' in order to be with her - but its not as simple as that!

This is one of those films that gets ya thinking about the possibility of angels etc

i thought this movie was a good but it could be better i bought this dvd because my mam wanted it so i ebayed it

Bit of a chick flick I suppose, but good story line and you get to have a good cry at the end, What more could you want!
Saw the film at the pictures when it first came out,thought it was worth seeing again, also the sound track is very good.

I've never actuslly seen this movie, it's a present for mum who loves Nicholas Cage. She says it's a great movie, very romantic, an excellent weepy.

This is a beautiful, sad love story, very different to the norm. Although I am not a Meg Ryan fan, she does a great job as does Nicolas Cage, a very well worth buy!

A real tearjerker of a film, i fell in love with Nick Cage in this film, he was so absorbing in his role, Meg Ryan, smooths out her edges in this film as she enjoys experiences with Nick in this film. Definately one for the girls to watch!!! There is also a heart breaking twist that leaves you wanting to look after Nick Cage. AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

I just love this film - one of my top ten of movies. I have seen it before and loved it kept renting it so decided to buy it - watched it several times - I know the ending but always cry !! So Romantic but so tragic !!
