Chuck - Series 1 (DVD)

This was hyped up when it came to Virgin on Sky some time ago and I watched it because I liked the Main actor, Zach Levi, in ABC's "Less than perfect" in which he had aminor but important role.

The usual standard American Sitcom does not apply here, think more recent american shows such as Eli Stone, Reaper or A town called Eureka. If you enjoy those shows, this could be right up your alley.

The story centres on Chuck bartowski, a computer "geek" working at a large "Buy more" style store with a computer department that fixes all things electrical or computer. Chuck inadvertantly downloads CIA and NSA secrets into his Brain from an email sent by his old friend (and now rogue CIA agent) and can now tap into this information when certain situations or images trigger the info to spring out of his brain.

Enter Sexy (I mean HOT AND SEXY) CIA agent Sarah Walker and tough guy NSA agent john Casey to protect Chuck from enemy bad guy types looking to get the information. Soon bithe the CIA and the NSA realise that Chuck is a walking computer capable of putting information together and solve certain problems, they soon put him to work.

This series is funny, touching, has action and does delve (albeit shallowly) into the effect this has on the charachters and their famailies.

Notable minor characters include Chucks best friend, Morgan and his sisters boyfriend, aptly nicknamed Captain Awesome.

Worth a watch and gets better as the series goes on.

good series like it on the telly so i bought the dvd so i can watch it again. once watched and you'll be hooked.

Funny comedy,
Chuck a computer repair technician, opens an Email that has the entire CIA and NSA joint intelligence secrets. This gives him at times memory flashes from the files. With a CIA agent posing as his girlfriend and a NSA agent to protect him and occationally getting him into trouble.
Very funny

I watched the whole series 2 online and it was AWESOME! The characters AWESOME, storylines alot better put together in Series 2. Nice to see some familiar faces such as Chevy Chase and Scott Baluka... Would Love to say something about the ending, but really don't want to spoil it ...but it was AWESOME, and can't wait for season 3......

Chuck is brilliant, not quite dexter, but a well thought out series. The series becomes better as it progresses as you learn about the well thought out characters and sub-plots.
