Chris Montez - Call Me (The A&M Years) (CD 2006)

When I first arrived in London from Sydney I was only 18 years old and Classical Ballet was my reason for being here.
Big Old London Town had
lot's of rain, and was very grey, .. and I lived in a bedsit in Baron's Court at the end of the Majikal 60's of King's Road Chelsea, Georgie Fame, Biba, Warhol at the Roundhouse, the Beatles/Stones, Cat Stevens singing in his dad's greek restaurent in Charlotte Street, Fonteyn & Nureyev at Covent Garden, the music of Aphrodites Child=Demis Roussos who actually came to the reastaurent I worked in called "KALAMARAS" .. and .well, one day i bought myself a cassette player and it cost £19.00 in 1971 and the first tape i bought was Chris Montez who serenaded me on the top floor of my little bedsit in W14..... and that was a long time ago... so now that I have just turned 55 i decided to bring back all my old memory music and you know... i really feel younger when I listen to Chris Montez again... my brain just goes right back in time and all is innocent and sweet... trusting and pure, the way we all were once,,,,
If it takes forever I will wait for you....
In this world where many play at love i am glad there is you...
So I walk a little too fast, and my voice is too loud, and i drink a little too much and smoke a little too much and joke a little too much...
so says Chris and yeah I have been there too.....
I love this CD because it is refreshing and remebering and innocent...
