Trapped behind barbed wire, fearing for their very lives, Ginger, Bunty, Babs and fowler are chickens with a mission.

Ginger and her fellow lock are determined to make a break for freedom but every escape goes "fowl" when they are caught by the evil Mrs Tweedy and her oafish husband who want to turn them into chicken pies.

When an all American rooster named Rocky lands on the farm, Ginger sees her chance-these chickens won't cross the road: they'll fly the coup.

Together they prove that chickens are anything but, as they engage in a daring and spectacular escape.

If you ever watched the classic film 'the Great Escape' but wondered if it could be lightened up a little, or a little humour added - then wonder no more. This is a cracking film (no pun intended) and really funny! Not quite what 'The Great Escape' could be accused of being - but this is essentially the same storyline (escape from the fence enclosure - this time a chicken coop, not a concentration camp) and the evil dicators overseeing what is happening from afar, oblivius to the escape plans. While not a tunnel this time, the escape is fantastically funny, nonetheless!

If you are not sure....just buy it! A great kids film that adults can enjoy too.

I bought this Dvd to go into my collection, For £1.25 plus free postage, I cant go wrong. I saw it in the cinema when it first came out and find it to be really funny, if you don't have it in your collection it's a must.

The original Chick Flick!!!! Nick park is a very clever guy and he makes the most amazing films...this is just another one of his many brilliant works!

I WOULD BE VERY HAPPYTO WRITE A REVIEW OD CHICKEN IF IT HAD TURNED UP BUT SO FAR IT HAS NOT ARRIVEDI would be very happy to write a review of chicken run but so far it hasn't turned up! I have sent a message to the seller . . .so far with no results. Having already seen it I remember it is good fun and suitable for family viewing and I need it for a project I'm doing.

fantastic viewing, would recommend for kids and adults! Love the rats and there silly comments and the great escape at the end was very exciting for my 3 yr old. We don't get tired of watching it.

what can i say, brilliant funny i could watch it over and over again i recommend to everyone of all ages. go get your self a copy if you have had one of them days when you need cheering up or need to cheer someone else up put it on. it,s so well put together. a vistor lands himself in a farm full of hens he thinks he can have his cake and eat it all the hens run round his craving for his attention he loves it, with plenty of food and all the hens lifting and laying him the other male birds become a bit jealous of him they plot to get rid of him,until he realizes that the farm is actually breeding the hens and getting fat because they sell chicken pies, when he tells them what is happing they plan a ecape. great laugh.

I watched it when i was at school. So i bought the DVD, great movie!!!!!! Recommended to watch and have a laugh!!!!!!!!

a funny film for kids or adults who enjoyed the wallace & gromit films, as it is similar. good film, children would really enjoy and my 2 year old thought it was funny

I decided to buy Chicken Run as we have just adopted 10 ex battery hens and my toddler is into everything 'kicken'! This is just a wonderful film for adults and children alike. For the adults you'll see several scenes from the Great Escape with Ginger as Steve McQueen being sent to confinement for trying to escape! For the children the funny rats and chickens are a hoot! Mr and Mrs Tweedy are the bad guys who buy a pie machine to turn their chicken farm into a gold mine but even they are no match for the chickens! The eventual escape is good and you get to see life on the outside for them too. A very good film you and the children will enjoy! Mosty44

As to be expected from the makers of wallace and Gromit - Nick Park and co at their very best. A most enjoyable family film and easy to watch time and again.
Unusual storyline showing good and evil also, a great amount of adult humour inter-twined.

Item was just as described - i.e. brand new, a lot of sellers say their stuff is new but when it arrives it isn't - seal is broken, cracked box that kind of stuff. But this DVD was perfect and still in its wrapper. Would recommend!

I love this film, It is one of my all time favorites! such an original story line! if you havent seen it i would highly reccomend it!

Have bought this as a present for kids in India !!! I like the animation , the story , the characters and am sure they will like it too.

Kids love it. Very enjoyable and quite funny too. Ideas chickens think of is good for children to expand their imagination. Good values are taught.
