Charlie's Angels (DVD 2001)

This is a funny, well executed spoof of the popular nineteen seventies series of the same name. At times, it is positively hilarious. Cameron Diaz showcases her comedic talents and is a standout. With that luminescent smile and perfect comedic timing, she is reminiscent of a young Goldie Hawn. The ever lovely and voluptuous bad girl, Drew Barrymore, is also very funny, as is the petite Lucy Liu. The droll Bill Murray in the role of Bosley is likewise perfect, and with the addition of John Forsythe, who played the original, mysterious Charlie in the series, reprising his original voice over role, the casting is flawless.
While the plot is, as it is with all spoofs, silly, it is, nonetheless, action packed and highly entertaining. Its tongue in cheek action scenes, as well as the sheer campiness of the movie, keep the viewer engaged. For sheer enjoyment, watch this film. You will not be disappointed.

A girly film for the boys too.... Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu are Charlie´s Angels and are fantastic throughout the film. Great acting and action!

The three actresses who played in this film trained for 6 months in the art of Karate so most of the stunts you see is actually done by them. The storyline is fast and furious and keeps you on the edge of your seat,the 3 agents played by Cto beameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu are sent to track down a kidnapped billionaire to be and keep his top secret voice identification software out of lethal hands.
With the help of their faithful lieutenant Bosley and there boss Charlie, they overcome an elaborate murder-revenge plot that could destroy individual privacy and corporate security worldwide. As you can imagine the evil is overcome and alls well that ends well.

A very fun and action packed movie with a great cast, young and old will enjoy this film. DVD comes with a full packed Special Features.

For sure is not the kind of action movie for everybody, but it's funny with good actresses and good special effects

I bought this dvd for my grand-daughter. She'd watched it on tv & wanted a copy.She likes action & adventure stories especially where girls are the heroines. Girls' rule ok!!

This film is far fetched and cheesey.....this however is the whole point of the film! It is funny, girly and entertaining! All 3 "Angels" are stunning throughout - even after a fight scene! Story line maintains your interest for a girly fim - not as predictable as you would think!

I would recommend this as a film that is easy to watch but does not bore!

'ANGELS' ALWAYS HAD A SOFT SPOT IN MY MIND AND THE NEW VERSION CONTINUES WITH THE TV VERSION'S FEMALE ROLE UNDER CHARLIE EXCELENTLY BUT IN AN UP TOP DATE VERSION FOR THE NEW AUDIENCE.

This film was a great action packed film and lots of action enjoyed every miniute and great for the kids too

I bought Charlie's Angels DVD because my grandson likes them, and watches when he visits me. He never seems to get bored with the film, although he now knows what is going to happen. Personally, I think it's a bit "tongue in cheek", but, it's good clean fun. The one thing I do wish though, is that sellers would specify whether a DVD is wide screen or full screen.

You could be forgiven for suspecting that I'm reviewing Drew Barrymore here, and not the film itself - and, I must admit, you would be right.

But genuinely, I do see Charlie's Angels primarily as an exercise for Ms Barrymore to flex her theatrical 'muscles' to the full. Her acting talent outstrips that of her co-stars, and she looks absolutely fantastic throughout the whole movie.

The plot is ok but nothing special, the antics of Lucy Liu and Cameron Diaz make for some entertaining viewing but again, nothing special - so yes, this movie is all about Drew. And I don't mind admitting it!

She alone earns it four stars.

The film proved so popular that fans wanted a sequel, which two years on, they received.

The action-packed film focuses on the angels' art of manipulation and secrecy through their job as what could be classed as female secret agents and compared to other spin-off films is in a league of its own.

Love action? Love angels

This is a great film for ladies and men (the only time men are alowed to drool over other women!). It is action packed with a few corney but funny lines. Excellent film to watch on a girls night in!

Brilliant remake movie with great casting,so much better than the original 70s style.All action with added comedy makes this a five out of five for me,with the second film being just as good.

i have seen it before on tv and decided i would like the dvd of it.excellent film very enjoyable to watch my daughter and her grandpa even liked it to.tyhe graphics are very good was still sealed when i recived it and in very good conditioned.

As I am Drew Barrymore fan I bought Charlies Angels and I really enjoyed it. Drew was brilliant in it and of course Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu were to.

They all played their charactors perfectly.

Bill Murry was good aswell.

I want to get the 2nd one now.

ID SEEN CHARLIES ANGELS 2 AT THE CINEMA, SO WHEN I SAW A DVD FOR THE FIRST MOVIE I DECIDED TO BUY IT..I WAS NOT DISSAPOINTED..PLENTY OF ACTION,A SENSE OF HUMOUR AND THREE GREAT ACTRESSES I REALLY ENJOYED THE MOVIE...

Brought the film for my daughter so haven't watched it myself but she said she really enjoyed it! All transactions making the purchase went without a hitch.
