I bought this new CD becasue Celine Dion Has An Amazing Voice, I Have All Her Albums And Bought It To Add To My Collection. Love The Songs. A Fabulous Buy

if you like celine you will like this as its a good one, shes her usual power self however does more of the sensual songs that don't involve shattering classes with her huge voice....

It's taken quite a few playings (as usual in my case) to really get 'into' it but I do like it now. Wasn't sure at first 'cos it's strayed from her usual style but hey - we all move on don't we? I find myself humming the tunes now at work so it must be getting in my head. There are a couple of tracks that I don't always listen to up to the end but out of so many - that's not a bad result. I do like the diversity of the album though.

I saw Celine in Concert back in 2002, in Sheffield. I was realy over-awed. My husand and I have enjoyed every CD she has released, but we totally advocate this one. It is the best CD she has ever produced.

after seeing the show live in dublin on her world tour I just had to buy the cd. She was fantastic - her voice was like an angel - she sounds really really good live - even better than on the dvds. she even cried when she sang my love as it was written for her and is about her life - that was very nice and heartfelt. The whole concert was one of raw emotion for both Celine and the Irish fans front start to finish. I cannot wait to hear these songs on the cd as they will bring back so many many happy thoughts and memories of that precious night in croke park.

This album starts off well, good belting tunes and a funky ethnic number which you cant help keep humming. Thats where it ends i'm afraid. Dismal song after song that even the vocal talents off this singer can't improve. Celine changes her voice throughout these songs from very deep to almost squeeky which i believe is a poor effort as she has clearly done so much better. The songs are like something from the Eurovision song contest - rubbish!
I think this album is a let down but for the first three songs.

Celine Dion, oh what a pure voice, has come out with her new CD entitled taking chances. The CD is full of modern beats and her voice is, as ever, as clear as a Bang & Olufsen music system. I have followed her songs for a while and cannot escape my worry that her songs and style are becoming too modern and commercial rather than revolutionary and contrarian. The songs are all goo don the CD, but not Tier 1 AAA as her past work. Compare it with her 2003 work or indeed with some of her french songs which have all the stuff that make them evergreens. Not so this new CD. I feel she is managing her abilities towards mainstream rather than eclectic tastes and for me that is a disappointment. She can do so much better, and last as long as Barbra Streisand does.
I hope she will eventually go back to her roots and sing songs that are more lke a bottle of Lafite 1982 rather than the new worlde wines..... Go Celine, get it out of your system with this new CD, I cant wait for the renaissance.

What a way to return, taking chances is right, more of an up tempo rocky edge to her songs in the album, I must say could probably have hits with quite a few of them. If you haven't got it yet then please do get it. ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC ALBUM. One of her best HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Rock on Celine!!!

CD is very good! Having converted most of my old video collection to DVD I was thrilled to find this film gem in digital format. If you watch this in widescreen format, it really does the battle scene great justice; coupled with surround sound, you'll be gripped by the amazing cinematography. I would recommend the director's cut that includes scenes about the relationship between the lead character and his estranged wife and helps you to understand the motivation behind his decision. The run time is 183 minutes for the directors cut and 120 minutes for the cinema version. I was, however, disappointed by the lack of extras, which any fan of this classic would expect to be included. There's only a 20-minute interview with the director and other shot "making-of" vignettes.

i went to asda over xmas to buy this album and they'd sold out, as had tesco, sainsburys, and all the 'little' shops. no matter what this woman sings its always a great record.its different from her other albums, its a bit more rock than usual, but hey everywhere selling out.... must be good. i'm putting it with the rest of my collection and will still be listening to it in another ten years.

I really like Celine Dion, although this is not my favourite out of her albums it is still good and the more I listen to it the more I like it.

I didnt get a chance to listen to the album, as I bought it as a present for my gran for christmas. I bought it because she loves music and I knew she was a fan.
