Casio TV-970 2.3 in. Handheld TV

I bought the handheld TV because I thought it might come in usefull; being on a train, stuck in traffic etc. On the whole the reception is pretty poor, however when you do manage to get a decent reception you can more or less make out what is on the screen although it does give you a headache after a while!

In summary, if I had paid top whack for it (I think some shops still sell them for £100!) then I'd be a bit upset, but at just over £10 it is still a bargain. It's simple to use, you can't store any channels but the scanner is OK and you can usually pick up all 5 terrestrial channels, with varying degrees of reception. The radio-type arial is a bit old fashioned, but for the price I paid on ebay I'm relatively happy.

Great to use when your stuck camping or working with no TV.
Doesn't really pick up Channel 5 but a good little alternative when no TV available.
Picture is pretty good as well.

Picture quality is very poor and its very difficult to get a good signal.

The picture is fussy most of the time, which added to the small size of screen makes watching TV on these almost unbearable.

But if you really must have TV on the move at the price it does the job.

great tv u can take it camping or fishing great picture i would be nice if it came with main plugs and car plugs to watch it but all in all a great little tv

What makes it a definite success in my book is the perfect balance it manages to strike between the key elements of price, design, features and performance

It, s a great little gadget I really hate missing my fav programmes so I bought this item, so I can laze in the sun and still wacth my fav programme. the fact that it was a bargin price also helped. It works fine I was really pleased.

its good a big design thought for such a small screen but its was worth the price! it may take 30 seconds to load a channel but once it has connected you get great signal.

I bought it because I needed a mini TV. I like it because it's small. The only thing bad is that the quality isn't great, but you can't ask for anything better of that siz.

great for "not -miissing- something" also if you are not a techno-nut [i-pod/mp3/camera stuff] ,so simple + now a cheap item due to aforesaid gizzmo s superceeding them,,and they make a good surprise gift!!!

This is a great little tv that runs on batteries its got a really good picture and is small enough to pop in your bag.
