  Casio MX-8 Basic Calculator
Review created: 28/11/09

Well I bought this calculator last week..I m a jeweler so I use calculators every day at work. This calculator is very smart in white color and a big screen, big buttons also. Two way power,on/off buttons. The only thing made me puzzled is that when I have to make a discount to a customer I want to enter the price, press the discount amount and then "-" and I imediatly get the final price as I do with my old casio calculator, while with this one when I enter the price, the, I enter the discount percentage I get the difference between the amounts and not the final price, then I have to do another reduction and its a bit silly.

In general its a nice calculator.

Thanks for reading.

  Casio Desk Calculator
Review created: 31/07/09

My sturdy calculator of 30+ years bit the dust. To replace an old well worn friend was inevitable. However the Casio MX-8V desk calculator is contemporary, sleek with big buttons and a solar powered unit along with batteries and very nice to use. It's exactly what I require!

What do you need from a calculator?

Great quality

Big buttons

A big display

Feet to stop it skidding over the desk!

And blindingly simple to use

Well the Casio MX-8 is all of that an more. Far better than you get in the shops and at a very reasonable price indeed! I bought 4, should have bought 6!!

Trust me: Dave Cawley

I bought this calculator to work out VAT. It has large a keyboard and readout, great for us with less than perfect eyesight.
I chose the Casio MX-8 because I have used Casio in the past and never had any problems with them.
I would recomend this to anyone looking for a reliable well made easy to use calculator.

  Casio MX-8 Basic Calculator

I bought three of these basic calculators recently. One for the workshop and two to have around the house. They are so inexpensive and convenient to use with a big clear display, photo cell power and battery back up. The only problem I have come across is down to me and not the calculator, one of the functions eludes me. That's the MU key, I don't know what it does or how it works and the instructions were no help. But it matters little because If I don't know what it does, I don't need it!

I bought this because i liked the clear and well laid out keyboard. Also the large display. it is very easy to use, and has all the basic calculations plus square root and percentage. The only thing i did not like was the lack of auto off, you have to remember to switch off.
If all you require is a basic calculator then you cant go wrong with the Casio for under a tenner

It's a calculator...and it works. Postage charges - Good. Arrived in good time. Very standard item. Perfect for everyday book keeping, bought this to use at college.
Good stuff.

I wanted to buy a calculator as a present for my brother. This worked well and was fairly priced. I was disappointed by the packaging which I had to chuck away before wrapping up the present. It was so clearly second hand and well used.

Time and Fuel Saving Ebay Purchase
Review created: 06/12/07

I run a small joinery business and time is expensive and hard to find. We needed 2 calculators to replace ones which were old and loosing their charm. I decided that Ebay could be a good place to look.
The cost of postage was much less than would have been if I had driven say 25 or 30 miles to get them, (We trade in a rural area.
My main worry for the future is the threatened postal service, or at least a service as cheap as the current one supplied by Royal Mail.
