Casio FX-85MS Scientific Calculator

Seller told that there are few scratches on the front panel of calculator.After receiving the calculator, am pretty much disappointed on seeing the scratches on the back of calculator and few more scratches & marks even on the calculator(near the display).

I have mailed the seller regarding this many times(8 times) but didnt get any response. I even told him that i will refund the postal charges but no response.

I am totally unhappy with the product.

bought as i needed a scientific calculator for uni.
does what its needed for - but noticed this can do BINARY, HEXADECIMAL and to base of 8 too!! that is AMAZING, as i've never seen a calculator that can do that!!

I really great calculator which is much easier to use than the update, the ES version. One of only a few calculators that some universities will allow.

Had to buy a new calculator for university since the one I had was not perimitted to be used in examinations. The calculator was very well priced from the seller, with very reasonable P&P charges. The calculator came brand new and works perfectly. A great buy.

I bought this for my daughter to assist with her A lvels and decided to try it out myself and it is really good I cannot fault it in any way, it will do all scientific calculations you could think of, the screen is a dream to read with the sum also displayed, and having a battery and solar power which work independant of each other is usefull should your battery run out although you will get approx 2 yrs from a new battery, as I bought mine at a pittance of a price on ebay you should not have any trouble finding one yourself. As for the user manual it was a straight forward donload in pdf format so again no problems. In comparison I bought a new non branded scientific calculator for my own use a couple of years back and the useless thing was binned withion the month ,when my daughter finishes her exams I shall be keeping this for myself, I really cant praise this enough for the price you can get them for they are unbeatable, 10/10

The calculator does everything I need it to and it has a really nice clear screen. Good value for money at around £10.

The Casio fx-85ES calculator is an essential item for any one studying maths & physics from GCSE right up to and including degree level. It has all the built in functions that students need. It's not a good business calculator and handles percentages poorly. This calculator was recommended by my sons' school and I bought one as well to be able to help them learn how to get the best out of it. It comes with a hard protective sliding cover which slides onto the back whilst in use and protect the keys, the 4 line matrix display and the solar battery charger when not. It calculates: fractions, trig. , powers, roots, logs, combinations, permutations, statistical data analysis, polar & rectangular coords etc. It works straight out of the box but with some practice and a good read of the manual, it can do so much more. An excellent tool at a very reasonable price. Available from most good stationers and also occasionally at a bargain on ebay.
