Casio FX-83ES Scientific Calculator

This calculator, from a students point of view is perfrect. A calculator can't do much more than this without infringing on the exams boards banned calculator list. It is the newer, updated version of the FX 83MS (also a good calculator).

The natural display function of the calculator is the best of the additions from the 83MS and is extreamly useful as it gives exact answers wherever possible. It took a couple of times using it to get used to switching from the natural display back to the normal display for when decimal places are needed, but this is not hard to pick up.
This calculator is ideal from Key Stage 3 all the way to A2 level of maths and would also be fine for every day use. It has a protective case for when it is not in use and an extensive manual explaining the different functions of the calculator.

For the price the calculator retails at its amazing how they make there money - a technical calculator at a reasonable price!

Great calculator, good price. My son needed this model for secondary school so it wasn't my choice but it seems like a really good model covering most functions.

I love the fact that eBay sellers are almost giving these away when my son's school is selling them for £70! Does absolutely everything that a calculator should and lots of features that you would normally have to write and translate before attempting to put the data into a calculator i.e. fractions. My son, and now my husband, who are both studying Maths swear by this calculator - we purchased a second-hand one in superb condition. Beat the credit crunch and swallow a bit of daft pride, no one will know if you don't tell them. Also comes in a hard plastic sleeve, easy to open and very protective and has an instruction booklet too.

This Casio FX-83ES Sciencetific Calculator catched my attention due to the photo itself are very clear. The seller sound very genuine and described it product very clearly. Then I read the feedbacks and make my decision from there.

Really good value for money, excellent calculator, does everything. You do need your instructions to grasp the different settings. but I find it works everso well.

This is a fantastic looking calculator for the new generation. Perfect for all students whether they are doing their GCSEs or A Levels.

Casio is top of the range and you can never go wrong with their products. Bought it for my 18+ year old daughter who also has high regards for casio products. This calculator is high performance and I'm extremely satisfied with the product.

the casio calculator is very simple to use. Numbers are displayed clearly and nicely. It has a small portable format dispite offering many functionalities and functions. Only downside: the plastic cover is a bit slippery and loose.

Has all the functions need for GCSE and A-Level. Very easy to use. I wasn't keen to buy a text-book entry calculator, but now I have used it I have come round to the idea. There is also the option to turn text book display off and use it like an older style scientific calculator.

This calculator is very good and easy to use. Especially for it's price on eBay... You can pick these up for about £5-6 including postage. It really is the best model for GCSE's and AS/A2 levels as it has all the functions required + more.
