The Casio Exilim EXZ75 is, first and foremost, a very pretty little device indeed. The brushed metal case, bevelled edges and huge LCD screen make it a treasured gadget, and that's before you even switch it on!

Casio appear to have almost perfected the art of making this type of camera, and the EXZ75 is no exception. The photos it produces are quite bulky (at max quality they can be about 4MB each) but the detail is impeccable, and I don't think my photos have ever been as sharp.

The Casio BS (BestShot) function is an absolute lifesaver in situations where you need to take a specific type of photo (portrait, candlelit scene, sports etc) and works so much better than similar functions I've used on other cameras over the years. The anti-shake DSP, which has such a bad press on most cameras, works very well here. I took a photo from a moving, juddering train using this function, and the result was sharp and rock-solid. Excellent for a dreadful photographer such as myself!

The battery charges fast and keeps its charge for longer than any other camera I have owned, and the menu system on the camera is so instinctual, you will probably have no need to refer to the manual.

10/10 from me - a rare combination of beauty and functionality!

I love this brand of cameras... mostly because it takes instant photos... no double flash or making people stand posing for ages waiting for the camera... instant photos and thats the most important thing to me...

cool little camera, just right for backpackers

Bought this for my son as he was off backpacking, its very quick to start up and does not let you wait to take a picture. Good colours from the images and the best shot facility is a really fast way of changing the settings without referring to the manual. Battery seems to last a long time and a 2GB card giving 400+ hi res shots is good enough for most people. No real downside as far as I'm concerned although you need to find a case to keep it in when travelling.

fantastic camera! It was the first digital camera I ever bought, and unfortunately I got it stolen in my hand luggage on holiday. I knew that I wouldn't want any other camera, so when I got the insurance money I wcame on ebay and bought a factory refurbished exilim straight away. I could have got the next model up [the zoom series] for a little bit extra, and yet when I had a look at it in theshop it just wasn't a match for the older series, even though it was 10.1 mp instead of 7.2. It was a lot chunkier, and the reason I liked the older exilim so much was for its sleek shape and the lightness of the camera.

This is a top class camera, and one I would recommend to anyone who wants a decent camera. Also, the fact that it is a Casio spells out that it will last for a while - Casio is the electronics company that everyone can trust, I think!

Definitely buy one of these cameras if you get the chance. They are fab!

I BOUGHT IT BECAUSE MY OLD FILM CAMERA WAS RUBBISH AFTER GETTING THE LAST ROLL OF FILM DEVELOPED AND ONLY HAVING ABOUT 6 GOOD PICTURES OUT OF 24.SO THIS IS MY 1ST DIGITAL CAMERA AND I THINK IT,S BRILLIANT!BEING ABLE TO VIEW THE PICTURES YOU,VE TAKEN IS A BIG ADVANTAGE.THE VIEWING SCREEN IS BIG ASWELL.THE CAMERA IS VERY SMALL AND EASY TO USE (WHICH IS GREAT FOR ME AS I DON,T KNOW A THING ABOUT FOCUS,ZOOM ETC.)IT HAS ABOUT 30 OR SO DIFFERENT SETTINGS,FOR EXAMPLE:THERE WAS A NICE SUNSET THE OTHER NIGHT WHICH DIDN,T LAST FOR VERY LONG AND INSTEAD OF ME HAVING TO TRY AND WORK OUT HOW TO SET THE CAMERA FOR IT, I JUST CHOSE THE "SUNSET" ONE AND TOOK THE PICTURE - PIECE OF P**S!!AS I MENTIONED,THIS IS MY 1ST DIG.CAMERA SO I AM VERY IMPRESSED WITH IT,S EASE OF USE AND MANY FUNCTIONS ETC.AND I WOULD RECCOMEND IT TO OTHER PEOPLE LOOKING TO BUY THEIR 1ST DIGITAL CAMERA.

I've had this camera for about 3 months now and its great. it has a lot of features which i've never used before but the automatic settings are great and have allowed me to take beautiful pictures. Iam sure that if i do learn the other features of the camera and use them then i'll take amazing photos. Iam really happy with the buy as not only does it take great pics its also stylish and slim :)

Perfect for a everyday use but not that great in the quality (the worst part comes at night pictures without flash). Good enough for holidays but not for a photography contest.
I recomend it as a second camera or for children.

It is a nice little and slim camera, not new but working and new condition.
The camera itself seems not the best in resolution, although it has got a wide range of automatic scene mode.
It is a perfect camera for travelling,it fits in a pocket, and the best thing about this camera it is the battery.
I have bought new battery, but really i did not needed at all,it has a such long battery life!so don't waste your money in extra battery.
So resuming, average resolution camera, easy to use (lots default scene),not very good zoom, good portability (very slim),best battery life!

ABSOLUTE SHAMBLES, WASTE OF TIME, CAMERA DID NOT WORK!!
Review created: 11/07/08

2 of 2 people found this review helpful.

In short, the camera was sent with the wrong charger so it could not be charged or tested, it took around a month for them to send the correct charger (in the meantime i had to purchase my own from the uk which they EVENTUALLY refunded me for), in the meantime i was without use of a camera when i expected a straightforward process of around a week. When i was eventually able to charge the camera it would not switch on, this was the last straw. I emailed them stating i wanted to return it which was a whole new fiasco lasting around a month involving me eventually getting my refund in bits and pieces after numerous emails that were necessary to prompt the completion of the process.

Their customer service and communication skills are diabolical and i have not been offered one penny of compensation for the copious amount of time and effort i have wasted on a product that i never even got to switch on.

Well and truely NOT RECOMMENDED as a seller.

  Casio Exilim EX275 Digital Camera

This is a light, although substantive and strong camera of 7.2 megapixels, slim and with many features. It comes with a large 2.5" screen which eliminates the need for a sepearte viewfinder. The overall size of 95mmL x 60mmW x 20mmD is a convenient size for the pocket or purse. My particular purchase was a factory reconditioned model to all appearances a brand new item. It has many attractive features including an "easy shot" setting for those who just want to point and shoot. The built in flash has a number of settings including "red eye removal". The autofocus allows you to take pictures from several inches to infinity. It has a built in memory of 8Mb but with a seperate SD card of 2Gb, costing about £5.45 can store thousands of shots. The built in video with microphone and speaker gives about 5 minutes shooting time. I am delighted with the purchase.

Small will slip into your jacket pocket. Easy to use with quick startup guide allows you to take pictures straight away but sofisticated enough to tempt the more dedicated digital camera buff. Takes SD memory card so versatile. Good battery life takes upto 180 pics per charge.
