A Car Is Born (DVD 2004)

anyone thinking of building a kit car must watch this as it gives a view as to what to expect. easy to follow.

I am going to buy an AC Cobra replica when I am 50 yrs old (4 yrs fm now). I was sure I didn't want to build it myself but the Engineer in me was quite tempted. I bought this video to help me decide whether to buy a turnkey solution or build it myself. The conclusion was quite straight forward. There were aspects of the video which made me want to build my own but these were outweighed by the complexity of needing inside knowledge and specialist tools to complete the build. In summary this DVD enabled me to finalise the decision for me not to build my own AC Cobra.

I love this series as Mark Evans presents the show well, it gives you an excellent insight into how to build a kit car and is funny too.

I would recommend any of the dvd's in this series (plus also recommend buying them from Brians CD's and DVD's on ebay)

This DVD is a must for any budding AC Cobra entuziast, who is in the early stages of planning a build.

It follows the build process from start to finish, and shows potential pitfalls allong the way.

Its not 100% accurate, and mentions realtivly nothing regarding the SVA, which is the biggest obstruction you face building a kit car.
