Various Artists - Captain Corelli's Mandolin (CD 2001)

During the film where Nicolas Cage plays the mandolin I recall the goosebumps and then hunting on ebay to find if there was a soundtrack CD. To my delight I found one.
Some of the tracks are a bit morbid but the rest of the music particularly the mandolin playing is classical music at its best.

Brilliant, the music is perhaps the strongest point of the film and this is further highlighted when listened to on the CD. If you enjoyed the film then this is a must.

The music is focused on both Greek and Italian music from the film. Fantastic Greek mandolin, very moving, and powerful opera sung in Italian. The CD is far better than expected as all the great music follows continually and not intermittent as in the film. PJ

I decided to buy this cd as i need some music for my forthcoming medieval wedding, the song the mandolin is just right.
