Canon PowerShot SX1 IS Digital Camera

Having owned three earlier Canon Powershot S series cameras, this was a logical step forward. At each revision the features on these cameras have expanded and improved. This latest version now makes full wide-screen HD movies, the quality of which is outstanding and, unlike some of its competitors, the huge zoom range can be used during videoing. The zoom now includes 28 mm wide angle - a long awaited improvement over the usual 35 mm which is just not wide enough for group photos in average sized rooms.

For me, the SX1 IS has all the advantages of a digital SLR without the necessity of constant lens changing and the risk of exposing the CMOS sensor to dust.

I can't really find fault with anything except that the lens cap could easily be lost as it is not attached to the camera. It can be clipped to the strap but falls off very easily.

It's been my experience with Canon products that they ooze quality. This camera will not disappoint.
