Canon PowerShot SD10 / IXUS I Digital Camera

An excellent little camera, easy to use and does a great job.

Upsides are it's relatively small, lightweight and powerful. Piece of cake to use. In-built speaker means you can review your movies with sound; a nice improvement over my previous Ixus V3.

Downside is there's no optical zoom. However, that's why it's so compact and you can't have everything!! At 5 megapixels the digital zoom works well, so you really don't need the optical zoom as much as you'd think (if at all).

Other downside is this camera will format all SD cards to 1 gig, even if the card is much bigger. However, it'll happily address all of a 2 gig card, as long as you don't re-format it in the camera... you have been warned!!

We've got thru a few digital cameras between our family, and this is the best yet (taking price into account). Not only is it now my main travel-cam; it's so good I bought one for my daughter!!

I already have a D-SLR, but I find it a bit on the heavy side to take when I am hill-walking. I also find that as I am walking in daylight,and generally take panoramic shots,the options of carrying additional lenses and the elaborate metering of a D-SLR are superflous to requirements! The IXUS is a truly excellent piece of kit.It is lightweight,has an excellent focal range,and produces shots which are very often as good as I would get with much more elaborate equipment. Don't be surprised if ,after a few weeks, you see my D-SLR on Ebay!!!

This is a super tiny camera that is easy to use and very transportable.
I have taken one around the world.
Though this model is a few years ld now its still great , it comes in red, navy blue and silver and I recommend you never leave home without it.

Came with broken LCD screen cost £60 to get it fixed!!
I had to spend another £30 buying a charger and USB lead.
Arrived without a SD card either...
I'd never buy another camera via ebay, you should think twice as well...

Perfect little snapper, uncomplicated and compact, takes excellent photos which can be enlarged up to a4 no problem
