Canon PowerShot A470 Digital Camera

Thinik this camera is ideal if you are quite new to digital cameras, simple to operate just great for family pictures etc good zoom, not the easiest to take a fast picture as have to hold the button down, other than that not a bad piece of equipment at all

very happy with it, looked up in 'Which' on line and this was in the top list of cameras with much more expensive models. quick time between shots, easy peasy to use, small an compact, great pictures, simple point and shoot for happy snapping, great zoom, clear image on the back of what you are taking. Only comes with a 32mb memory card that holds about 17 pictures, so need to buy a bigger card. slots straight into my computer to upload the pix. take it everywhere madly snapping. Highly recommended for quality home use.

Having had Canon Cameras in the past I found this model to be attractive, easy to hold and brilliant value for money. It's colour scheme is great because it means more than one of us in the family can have the same camera but in a different colour - means nobody can swap if theirs gets broken :) The picture quality is second to none and every bit as perfect as those camera's costing £200+ plus. At a cost of £99 when it came out it was reasonably priced but at now selling for around the £50 mark makes it well worth buying.

It has many functions but is easy to learn, point and shoot your photo. The advantage of buying online was because there were a lot more 'extra's included' in the price such as memory card/holder etc making it even better value for money.

Canon have a good reputation for the quality of their goods and I know from a past problem my son had with his previous camera, the after sales service is second to none.

I would fully recomend this to anybody wanting a handbag size camera, producing perfectly reliable photographs without having to read a 100 pages of a manual in order to use. Aim Point and Shoot is my motto and that's whay I got!!

THE goods were a camera and printer as a kit in one box. the main goods the camera and printer were ok. Missing out of the box were the 2 cd roms .Both sets of instructions .The power cable had a uropean plug which did not work even with an adapter. It did work with a british cable. Plus it took 10 days for delivery. Finaly i have had no feed back,although i paid instantly with paypal.Thankyou.

ideal size easy to get on with took a few pictures really clear only fault I've found is the battery opening its a bit fiddle other than that i like it

The canon A470 in my opinion is an excellent user freindly camera with quality to match you would expect from canon. Very sharp photos which again is down to the worlds best lenses!! light weight, compact, good build quality,and very reliable. The only down side is, like the majority of compact cameras is the battery cover is a little fiddly to undo and needs to be treated with care! Not ideal for the ham fisted-inpatient person because unless you read the instructions you ARE GOING to break it!! apart from that treat it like a lady and be gentle and it will last for years. They are available if you shop on the internet for around £69.00 inc p+p Bargain.

This camera was the Which? best buy "point and shoot" camera but had been superceded by a later model.Consequently I could not buy one in a normal shop but managed to find a new one on Ebay.
It is an excellent camera for the price and does everything I need, and more.
