THIS IS A GREAT CAMERA - NOT TO CHUNKY - DOES MOST THINGS A DIGITAL CAMERA DOES, ITS EASY TO USE AND PRINTS DECENT PICTURES.
BOUGHT THIS CAMERA FOR MY SON WHO IS 9 YEARS OLD AND HE CAN USE IT WITH NO PROBLEMS.

Camera was reasonably priced. Has good control over image settings. Takes standard JPEGs and is recognised by Windows as a Digital Camera so very easy to get pictures off. 4Megapixels means less space taken up on PC but still good quality. A 512MB SD Card will take 860 pictures (batteries permitting)at a 1600x1200 quality. (More than enough to view on a 42" LCD TV).
Useful feature to turn LCD off which lengthens battery performance.
Only takes 3min video clips, 430 has automatic digital rotation and sound. Overall very happy with features and picture quality. Not sure how long batteries last but have bought 2 lots of duracell rechargeable.
Easy enough for kids to use. Feels very solid. I wouldn't be too worried if they dropped it.

Excellent Camera especially the price,incredibly easy to use .Picture quality is excellent and zoom option is very clear.Check its performance against similar cameras and you will find it is close to the top level required .

Paid £35.00 for my Canon A430 and what a bargain, it arrived with half a dozen instruction manuals and my heart sank until I realised they were all in diffrent languages. Had a quick flick through but to be perfectly honest there was no need, 10 minutes of messing about with it and you have the hang of it. Technology designed for people who don't want to read the instuction manuals, perfect.
Providing we have a summer this year I shall certainly get plenty of use out of it.

For someone who had his Digital camera deliberately damaged beyond repair, this
camera was a perfect replacement aand brought a smile back to his face.
As a present, it arrived on time and I was well pleased with the service and content. I wil come again.

This is the fifth digital camera I have owned. I bought it since I did not want to take an expensive camera on a beach holiday. This cost me about £35 on eBay. the camera is very easy to use. There is an AUTO setting which does everything for you. It uses an SD card which which are easily available and much cheaper than they used to be. It also uses 2 AA size batteries. This is a major advantage since you can use re-chargable AA batteries or in "emergency" buy alkaline AA batteries. It also has a viewfinder which is good since lcd displays are not very easy to see in bright daylight. It is not the smallest digital camera but I think you can have too small a camera to hold easily. Picture quality seems good but I have yet to fully test it out. Other reviews on the Net give a good report.
