i lo e this camera and use t pratically everyday i boght a new one due to braking me old one as i used it so much it just fell apart due to wear and tear its in great condition with everything included as said, great seller!

Easy to use. Takes great pictures. Very clear large screen. Minimal indoor flash/shutter delay. Very smart and compact.It looks and feels like a quality product.
Minor criticisms - the memory card that comes with it only holds 8 pictures.

Excellent quality for a price. ISO sensitivity up to 1600, anti-shake stabilization prevents unclear pictures even with quite high ISO. Flashing can be avoided in most of the cases, if you (like me) do not like very unnatural looks&lights it creates.

I had an basic 35mm camera prior to going digital, and I have got to say the difference is like night and day.
The canon camera I bought is simple to use with lots of easy to follow instructions and the picture quality is way beyond my expectations

I first purchased a Canon when the IXUS series first started and was amazed at the quality and overall performance. Since then I have upgraded from 2 to 3 then 4, 5, 6 and now 8. The IXUS 8 is by far the best digital camera on the market with ease of use and exceptional picture quality. I still amaze family and friends with my pictures and although I always check out other peoples cameras to make sure mine is best... I've no need to worry cause the Canon IXUS series is still by far the best.

This camera was bought for my daughter as a birthday present it is probably the size and the idiot proof ease of use is the reason that I bought it. I would reccommend this camera to anyone who wants a small point and shoot camera with a few basic functions for different shoots

I was looking for a new digital camera for 2 reasons;
Our current one was past its best and didn't now use our video camera enough.
I'd read loads of reviews and had decided on the Canon IXUS 80 IS because for the price it was excellent value and gave a very good performance.
I managed to get a good price for one on eBay with extras second hand, and within a few moments was shooting lovely pictures and video. It is very easy to set-up, use and handle...With my young children even using it with confidence! I soon changed the SD card to a 2GB item as the camera has no internal memory and filming video uses a fair bit.
Friends are impressed with the results given its small compact size...
My only comment would be because it is quite small and slim in my clumsy hands, it could easily be dropped if not careful...but thats just me.
All in all a fantastic camera with great features and quality pictures and good video capture.
Set everything to high quality and auto and off you go!!!
