All I can say is buy one !!
Results are amazing. I was after a semi-pro camera and looked up the reviews for the 40D.Found a nice one on ebay and waited patently for the postman to arrive. It is great, takes a while to get the hang of all the buttons etc, but you can do just about anything with this camera, without forking out mega-bucks for a pro camera.
