It may be getting old but it still cuts the mustard

Despite being around 5 years old and lacking a few of the features ( well, more like fancy image trickery ) of the most modern cameras, the 10D is still able to take stunning shots with a very crisp and detailed 6MP sensor. Very solid in the hand, very quiet in operation.
In fact, the only real downside to the 10D is the start-up time, which may be just a couple of seconds, but it's enough to miss the odd shot if it's allowed to go into standby.
Get some Canon L glass on this body and you'll struggle to see, in quality terms, where that extra £500 is going on the 40D ( spend that extra on decent glass instead ).
