Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM Autofocus Lens

I previously owned the Canon 70-200mm f4 L and although that was an excellent lens it is not in the same league as the f2.8 IS.
The IS and wider aperture make this lens so much more usable than the f4L. I can get consistently sharp shots at 1/60 sec at 200mm with this lens, whereas I needed 1/250 sec with my non-IS f4 L to guarantee sharpness!
I was worried that it would be too heavy, but believe me you soon get used to the size / weight - In fact the additional weight seems to make it easier to hold steady. Image quality is as expected - Superb! The lens is sharp at f2.8 but even sharper at f4.
It is an expensive lens however in my opinion it's well worth it and as the saying goes 'You get what you pay for'.
