Caddyshack (DVD 1999)

well i'm not bothered what anyone says, this is right up there with filsm like, Cannonball run, smokey and the bandit, these are all classics that everyone needs to watch to appreciate the comedy that the good old fashioned comedy classics where..
bring this one..

Okay...... so Caddyshack includes some really cheesy gross-out / sex gags which have been mimicked to death by films like American Pie. But at the same time Chevy Chase is great as the deadpan witty zen millionaire who's not into golf for the competition, but apparently to experiment in the ways of the jedi. Then there's Bill Murray's total comic genius as his insane redneck battles it out with the invading gopher - the latter proving that you don't need tons of special effects in a film. Ten out of ten for the world's most charismatic glove puppet!

Chevy Chase is a legend

This is a classic comedy film. Had been looking in the shops for ages but they wanted ridiculous prices. First look on E Bay to find the perfect one. Excellent quality and excellent viewing.

Decided to buy Caddyshack after seeing the American Chopper episodes where they fabricated a caddyshack theme bike for Bill Murray. In the end I was rather dissapointed with the film which I thought was somewhat dated in its humour.I might still purchase caddyshack 2 to see if the theme is the same!

The film is quite funny but what makes it so good is Bill Murray's attempts to kill a gopher. He tries sniping golf balls, jumping on it, jetting it with water and blowing it up with dynamite. All to his dismay.

I was recommended this title as being a comedy like the classic '' airplane'' with some of the same actors in it. It was enjoyable and watchable, but it didnt quite hit the spot for me, too zany perhaps.

Chevy Chase, and Bill Murray make for a brilliant film - the expert golpher and a man who's sole goal is to kill a gopher - will he get it though? hehe

I am a HUGE fan of everything Chevy Chase does and this film is a gem. I would also STRONGLY recommend the films Fletch and Fletch Lives - VERY funny. The cast in Caddy Shack is simply superb and the humour is none stop. It is definitely in my Top 10 :-)

Oh boy !
this film is one of those must watch movies,I remeber the buzz at high school when it came out first, the chocolate bar in the swimming pool was a classic movie moment and those goddam gophers drove jim murray daft .
watch it! it s a good laugh !
