A COC ALBUM FOR SURE BUT NOT THEIR BEST!!!
Album number 6 from the Southern metalers 'Americas Volume Dealer' has Corrosion of Conformity written all over it but in a 'slightly losing track' sort of way. The first thing you notice is the highly polished sound they have more so than any other of their releases, which makes it a more 'main stream' rock album than anything else. There are some great songs on here with Pepper Keenan putting in fine vocal performances and strong musicianship from the rest of the band that has come to be expected. But its radio friendly sheen smacks of suppressing the COC rawness and maybe led to this being the least successful of their releases. Its by no means a bad album at all but it does show signs of why the break they took until releasing 'In The Arms Of God' was a good thing. Its certainly an album to have a listen to but not vital certainly not in comparison to maybe 'Deliverance' or the outstanding 'In The Arms Of God'
