Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid (DVD 2001)
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid is a 1969 Western film that tells the story of bank robber Butch Cassidy (played by Paul Newman) and his partner The Sundance Kid (played by Robert Redford). The film is only loosely based on historical fact. It is a classic of its type, from a cinema film making era when the genre of the western still remained popular. Today, they have faded into history, and no longer are being made.
A memorable film, though it is very capable of being watched again and again. There is a fine performance by Paul Newman, plenty of action, the atmospheric scenes are realistically strong. The film introduced the popular tune "Raindrops keep fallin on your head".
It is a DVD for your personal library to keep, which you will treasure over the years, to revisit when the fancy takes you.
