interested me the possibility of recording programs, the programs can be recorded but only FREEVIEW.All average

I love this PVR, its easy pie to use and incredibly useful for recording/pausing live TV,... It also has an 80gb HDD which I have never managed to fill yet.

I needed to buy a hard disk recorder fairly cheaply as an additional unit for when multiple, simultaneous recordings are needed. I have to say I am disappointed with this unit. Despite being factory refurbished, it regularly resets itself whilst carrying out basic functions such as a fast forward through a recording. Getting it to record and stop recording are not intuitive and believe me when I say this, I am an electronic engineer with 40 years experience, if I'm having trouble then I suspect many more will also. I should also mention that I bought a second identical unit before receiving the first as it seemed a good deal for a friend. The second unit is as unpredictable as the first. Suffice to say I will not be burdening my friend with this and will carry the cost myself.

Basically, forget this one unless the postage cost exceeds the bid price.

It's a pretty cool looking machine with it's lights shining through the silver front. It does everything I really wanted apart from one thing.....it doesn't record a channel to let you watch another channel at the same time. Thats the only problem I can find with it? Otherwise the 'pause tv' bit is wonderful! If someone phones me during a program I can just pause it and watch it after, great! It's so easy to use too! Within five minutes of turning it on I was up and running and all the boring timer stuff and what-have-you's were already set up for me! Technology! Love it lol

Ideal alternative to Sky+ I was going to buy this as an interim between getting sky installed but after finding the ammount of channels available and the ease of recording I have decided there is no need.
The finish of this is excellent and fits in nicely with all other modern equipment.
