Bullitt (DVD)

Bought this basically for the car chase, but the film is so much more than that. The tension between Chalmers & Bullitt is brilliant. A cop movie with a difference, in this one Bullitt is trying to keep a witness safe, but as the plot evolves, the film is so much more. Bullitt is a cop, he's seen it all, but he plays by his own rules, whereas Chalmers as a DA is straight down the line. There is so much in this film that has been used since in other movies. The moody dark lighting, the car chase, the cop bending the rules and so on. Even the ending has been copied since. Definitely a classic.
