Bugsy Malone (DVD 2003)

Been singing a song that was sung in this movie and then trying to explain to my children how good this film was (i.e child actors etc). visited Ebay and found it in DVD format. Great old film, great to watch again this time with my family.

After the children did Bugsy Malone as the summer school play at my daughters school, I thought I had to see the actual film it was based upon. Finally found it on ebay for a very good price. Both my children love it and they both now the songs. A great film.

Bought this for my 6 yr old as she'd never seen it, classic 80's film that has brought her a lot of joy!!!

My Daughter drew a lot of interest from a recent school production that's why I bought it. It's a fun film for children!!!

well my son was doing a school play bugsy malone but i didnt know what it was so i bought it on here. It onlytook 2 days to get here and when i watched it, it was amazing i loved the songs the story just everything about i. if you like kids with pie guns i will fully recomend this to you. :D

Have been looking for this film for ages and now found it, son is doing a school play as lead role in this dramatisation, and has proved invaluable for him to get the caracter just right. Not only that it is a great fun movie that I enjoyed as a kid on orginal release,

My daughter's Show Group is performing Bugsy Malone in May 2009 so we were desperate to obtain a copy of the DVD. Once again, it was Ebay who came to the rescue. It was great not to have to rush around the shops and try and purchase it (at full price!). Once we had bid on the product, all we had to do was sit back and wait for the postman to deliver it! Job done, happy daughter!

Wonderful film with loads of now familiar faces. Such a unique film suprisingly never repeated since.

classic film!!
everyone has to see this film if they havnt already,its one of the old classics which you can never bore watching!!!!

Why? Because it's a classic British Movie by superb director Alan Parker (of Midnight Express and Mississippi Burning fame) and now forms part of my Jodie Foster (Tallulah) collection, an early example of the actress' work, who I consider the greatest actress (or actor) I've ever seen, and I've watched a lot of movies in my lifetime, thousands. Wonderful family entertainement for adults and children alike. Cannot recommend too highly.

an excellent movie. fun for all the family. i decided to but this as my children had seen it advertised and i thought it is a good fun film for all the family. it was still as funny as i had remembered it. jodie foster is brilliant in it and i love how all the characters come to life.

I bought this DVD because I have always liked this film. I recorded it on video tape from the television about ten years ago and have played it that many times I have worn the tape out and when I saw it was for sale on DVD I jumped at the chance to obtain it. Hopefully it won't wear out. I gave the tape copy to my seven year old grand-daughter who likes the musical as well.

My 16 year old daughter is dancing in the school production of 'Bugsy Malone'. We had to provide a costume for one particular scene in the production - the school were providing the remaining costumes. I remember watching this lovely film at the cinema when it was released originally. My daughter, however, had never watched it, and although her dance teacher gave us some idea of the type of dress required, I felt watching the film would give us any even better idea. Naturally, I found the DVD on ebay, at a really reasonable price, and after watching it,and again, enjoying it immensely, managed to get exactly the kind of dress necessary from our local charity shop ( sadly couldn't find what we wanted on ebay!) So, it simplified things somewhat! Now I have the production to look forward to. Thanks ebay!

I got this dvd for my children so that my son could see the play he was going to be in . It came in plenty of time so he could see just how his part was to be played. Good service all round from this e-bayer

i was in a show of this when i was in primary school and i love it!its a classic film that you must own simply because its got jodie foster in it and where else can you watch kid gangsters with splurdge guns!you must watch it or youll be missing out!

With everything going on to DVD format i was so glad that i was able to get one of my all time favorite childhood film.
A must see for the custard pie machine guns and the big food fight at the end and the peddal cars.
It is set in the 1930's. The whole cast are children. Now famous actors in adult life Jodie Foster,Scott Baio.
One of my favorites now i can share with my family to be one of theirs.

watched the film when i was younger. My son played Dandy Dan in the school production when he was 9. My daughters school put on the play earlier this year and now the school i work at is doing it for their summer concert. We had it on video but it got taped over so have been looking for the dvd but we couldn't get it in any shops.Hence e-bay. It is such a brilliant film with very catchy songs and great child actors.Now I can watch it whenever I want.

my son is doing this in stage coach it has always been a favorite film of mine and the last copy we had had got scratched. Fnatastic Film

I bought this film for my children having watched it myself as a child, it is a fantastic film which has lots of fun moments, a complete classic...

Its a great family movie, i loved this film as a child, a childrens version of the mafia, but with cream instead of bullits being fired, bought the dvd so that my children could watch it, and now my children love the film too.

Great music & something a bit different. The splat guns & cars would appeal to boys. The outfits, songs & romance would appeal to girls. My 9 & 11 year olds loved it. A bit too slow for younger children though. Well worth a look.

i bought bugsy malone because i heard the song fat sam on the radio and it brought back many memories for me.

there is nothing i dislike about bugsy malone if there was i would not have purchased the dvd to add to my collection.

it is set in the 20/30's in new york and is supposed to be a gangster movie but with a twist, the whole cast consists of children representing adults.

a movie well worth watching as it is timeless and ageless.

My son is starring in a production of this and wanted to show him the original version. Enjoy watching it still and can watch it several times over. Many people my age (don't ask!) remember this film with a fondness.
