Brother FAX-8070P Plain Paper Laser Fax

This is a great machine, as it scans the page(s) you want to fax and then sends them afterwards you aren't standing next the machine for ages waiting for your document to go through. It also copies and prints at a good speed for a fax machine and sufficient memory to keep a large number of pages in store if it runs out of paper or toner. Consumables may seem a bit expensive but compared to the inkjet we were using it's very cheap to use.

I would recommend this machine to any one looking for a good machine for a small office.

This is a great machine, a little on the large/heavy side though, but then, it is a sturdy laser powered beast.

The Contol buttons on the front are well laid out & easy to understand.

The LCD display is ok but can only be viewed virtually straight on otherwise looks like a row of 16 black squares which can be annoying as I have mine on a surface fixed over the top of my pc & monitor to save space, it's just lower than my eye-height, I would need a tall box to stand on to read the display at this height, rather than me lower it, I could try using a small mirror to catch reflection rather than just veiwing the black squares... ;)

The FAX-8070P allows documents to be loaded into the machines memory whilst other faxes are sent or received, with those stored documents being sent as soon as the line becomes free.

Using the broadcasting feature, time can be saved by sending the same fax to up to 158 locations sequentially, or 50 locations manually.

To ensure important messages are not missed when either paper or toner runs out, the 2 MB memory is capable of storing up to 80 pages of incoming faxes.

It copies and prints at a good speed and :has sufficient memory to keep a large number of pages in store if it runs out of paper or toner.

Being a popular discontinued model, they can now be picked up for a very good price... No problems getting comsumables for them neither...


I would certainly recommend this machine to any one looking for a good machine for a small office.

Really great, best fax machine ive ever owned, cost next to nothing on e bay, refills cheap on e bay, wonder why I ever bought new.

Good price for theitem, but the packing could have been better it had no materials inside the box to prevent from damage in transit, but otherwise a good deal
