British Telecom Studio 1100 Cordless Phone

I needed a new phone,saw this one which was ideal for what I wanted,and of course the price was right.It arrived as discribed and works perfectly,would recommend and I am thinking of getting another one.Real easy to use with neat keypad.

I liked this product as it was cordless it has 4 different ring tones. It has a phonebook facility. Its battery life is good. It is light weight and easy to use. The buttons are well spaced and yu can hear the phone all over the house.

I already had a similiar phone and was looking for an additional one. The price was right and the phone does the job that I was looking for.

These phones are an excellent choice for anyone wanting a simple but realiable phone system set up, the handsets are well laid out and easy to understand phone menus make setting up phone books and customising very easy, also as the phones use standard AAA batteries for the recharging, you do get stuck with expensive replacment "battey pack" costs if you ever need to replace them.

having a phone line fitted, i was in search for a phone. i was in looking for a cordless phone. i saw this phone going at a reasonable price, therefore i put a bid on it. on having won the bid, i recieved my phone in a couple of days which came well packed in a padded packaging.

I bought this phone because my other portable phone was not charging too well and would sudeenly 'die' on me , mid phone-call which was very annoying.
This seller posted me this phone , all connections and wires and charger complete and checked, and delivered next day by courier.
I left him the excellent feedback that he duly deserved.
The phone was easy to install, took only an hour or so to charge, and has been trouble free ever since.
the only draw back, which is my fault for not checking the model, it has no answerphone facilities, but BT's 1571 system comes into play.

I bought this pone to replace an older model,its functional easy to set up its a good looking phone and the only negative is the butons are small and stiff but all in all its a good product.

This phone works perfectly well, is small and very handy.

A great, reasonably priced phone that is well worth the money.

First and foremost, it's a phone. It's only used as a second phone, connected to a VoIP line offered by my internet provider. I have no problems with the phone's quality of finish or quality of use. The handset works throughout the house. I haven't tested its range outdoors, but it was not purchased for outdoor use. It uses AAA rechargeable batteries, and is happy to be occasionally left off its station all day, and remain usable with good reception and transmission.

I was looking around for a model to buy, and noted that most current models are like mobile phones in terms of size and features. They have an intimidating array of features. This model dates from 2005, and has a good sized number pad, and a number memory, which is all I need. The handset and the base station are quite compact but not tiny.

All in all a good basic model, which I am happy to endorse. If you have any reservations about BT as a service provider, which I do (put me on the wrong tariff but won't admit it or amend my bill, which is why I exclusively use my VoIP service for dialling out) then the actual quality of this unit does seem OK, I have used it every day for a few months now.

Very easy to use,at least for me,not so sure about the other half?

Gone back to our old BT telepone

After my old cordless phone finally gave in, I decided on the 1100 Studio because it's a neat size. The base is compact but the handset is still a nice size to hold, without making your hand ache. It's very easy to use, has limited ring tones and volume settings, but this makes it quick and easy to set up. The batteries are also re-chargaeable.
All in all, a very good phone.

Very simple to use with good reception up to about 85m with the base station in the house and the handset outside. I did have one issue after dropping the handset, which I only resolved by unplugging the base-station and removing the handset batteries overnight - I never did find out the root cause, but working fine again!

Excellent phone. Internal calling is great to get the wife out of bed.Does exactly as per instructions.

we decided that we needed a triple set of phones due to us only having one phone and people ringing when we were either upstairs or cooking in the kitchen thje only thing we need is a set of batteries cos the prevoius owners only used two handsets but apart from that they are champion

Unfortunately this phone did not work for me, i tried various batteries in product but still had no luck, i got total refund from seller.

The British Telecom Studio 1100 Cordless Phone with answermachine facility is small, functional and relatively simple to set up and use.

Handsets
Although the handset is rectangular it is relatively small (five inches in length and 1.75 inches wide) and fits into the hand quite well. The colour display is clear enough and although the wallpaper options are limited, they are useful for replacing them into the correct base stations. The handset would benefit from a volume control facility which would enhance its use for those with impaired hearing. However, in hands free mode this is compensated to some degree by sounding louder. Ring and warning tones can be varied on both the handset and answermachine and although restricted to a series of different bleep sequences, do provide sufficient variation and volume for most applications provided that you don't need to hear Mozart, Led Zeppelin or Amazonian Frogs croaking down the line. Internal calls can be made to another handset and the "find handset" function located on the answermachine is particularly useful when it slips down the side of the settee. The handset is powered by 2xAAA rechargeable batteries that can be replaced easily and at reasonable cost at the end-of-life (the instruction manual also provides guidance on disposal).

One draw back that the handsets suffer from is that in the event that the answermachine/base unit is disconnected from the mains power supply, the handset displays (time and date) are lost and must be re-set. In addition, the telephone directory must be manually entered into each handset as there is apparently no facility to copy from one to another.

Answer Machine
Answer machine sound quality is reasonable and the pre-recorded messages do an adequate job. The flashing light and numerical display are readily visible and playback "buttons" easy to see and use. The facility to access recorded messages using the hansdset or remotely from an outside line are both useful features.

Despite some shortcomings, overall the BT Studio 1100 Cordless Phone offers good value for money if your are looking for a telephone with multiple handsets and an answermachine faciity that performs adequately if not spectacularly.

I needed a cheap digital cordless phone to replace my old one which stopped working.
The British Telecom Studio 1100 Cordless Phone does the job well. It is not the most attractive or modern shape but it feels nice to hold and has a clear screen. I like the fact that I can store my most used numbers in a 'phonebook' and the name is displayed when the phone rings (you must subscribe to Caller Display for this to work) There are several ringtones and you can apply different 'melodies' to different contacts.
Although there is a volume control, the loudest setting is not very loud - could be a problem in a larger house.
This is a basic cordless phone which does what it says it does. It is cheap to buy and you get what you pay for.

This is the first cordless phone I've had and I am very impressed with it's facilities. I'm amazed at it's range outdoors. Would recommend this product.

it was cheap and this reflected on quality which was poor. its not very loud the ringtones are poor and i would not advise buying it!!!

Presentation was good and the product I was looking for, met my limited requirements. Price was ok.

I decided to buy this product because it was reasonable as per my needs. Its working good.
