British Telecom BT Mango 1-Line Cordless Phone

i like this phone because it is funky looking and a bit different however even when you have it set on loudest you still cant here it ring unless its next to you,another thing is it likes to cut you off at any time of conversation so it is a worry if your ringing somewhere and your put on hold because your panicking the phone will just go off and then you will have to go back through the call again and we all know what call centres are like press number for one thing and another for somet else so all in all i would not reccommend this phone.........

In general the Mango phone is ok, it has all the features and more that you could want from a house phone, it also works as a back-up device for your mobile sim card (upto 200 contacts per handset).
It is possibly a bit big and bulky compared to what any picture on the internet makes it look and it does look quite alot like a childs toy, you expect to press 0 and the phone to beep a few times and say "hello operator". but if you can look past the apperance of the phone, it is fantastic. It's cheap and cheerful and has alot of fantastic features.
For the price you wont get a better phone. It also has answer phone and different ringtones to personalise it!

So all in all i rate it as Good.

although the manual is precise long and somewhat too much to read , its easy phone once you get the hang of it, its small compact and is a perfectly wicked colour to go with just about anything in your home, the ringing tones are just perfect on volume as some phones you can hardly hear. brilliant for sending text messages and if you are on bt its a bonus to have 100 free text messages a month!! .should be charged for 24hrs but you see it all clearly as the bar progressesto maximum, basically does everthing written in the box. I would truly recommend this phone to any age group its just brilliant and have no problems with size of dialing buttons easy to read and see. like anything new spend a little time playing with it and get used to all the functions. great answer phone built in..

i do not know if its only my phone does it but i got this phone months ago and since i got it, it turns it self of midle of my conversation for a 5 second in 10 minuts talks. i do not know what to do, i will get another model soon.

The first impression of this is it looks cheap. Plastic look which leaves a lot to be desired. The loudspeaker is very quiet and you cant turn it up. If your on a call and you accidentally slide the phone down, you cut the call off. This can be avoided by changing the slide settings in the menu, but I didnt realise this til I had cut a few calls off! The best thing about it is the fact you can put your mobile sim card in the base and use the numbers from the sim on the house phone. Storing the numbers can be a bit of a nuisance though as I ended up with about 3 stored entries of each number so I had to delete all the duplicates by hand, this was very time consuming and tedious. The numbers can be a bit fidly for dialling also as they are quite close together and no good for long nails or big fingers! All in all, it does as a house phone, but for the same price, id probably buy something a little more practical.

When these came out around 2 years ago, in the Argos book they looked the dogs you-know-wots. Glad I didn't pay the then going price of around 70 notes ! Don't get me wrong, it's appears to be a reasonable working phone but it's just like a kids toy to look at and hold ! You know that real nasty plastic that kids toys are made from....well this is just the same. My little un thinks it's a toy. Fisher Price phone but worth the £10 or so i paid for it. Wouldn't pay anymore than that else you will be very dissappointed.

this would have been an ideal phone, if it wasn't for the fact that it only lasted 10 days before I had to return it for a refund. Faulty goods that caused problems with my landline and shorted out my broadband, which was confirmed by a BT engineer.
As this not a review of the seller I cannot state that you would be best to avoid this guy at all costs.

i ike the style and look of the item aong with the obvious normal functions of the phone and the practicallities of the phone

Fab looking phone, lots of features, simple to use, stylish and modern. Would recommend for both the techi and the technaphobe!

Good product but the handset seems to drain the battery quite quickly. Has a lot of features not found in any other handsets.

wE DECIDED TO BUY IT AS OUR HOME PHONE HAD BROKEN AND WE WANTED A NEAT LITTLE PHONE PREFERABLY WITH ANSWER MACHINE. THIS PHONE IS NICE HAND SIZE WITH A SMALL BASE. IT HAS AN INTEGRATED ANSWER MACHINE WHICH CAN BE ON OR OFF. THERE ARE A FEW DIFFERENT RING TONES AND A LARGE PHONEBOOK TO STORE YOUR FAVOURITE NUMBERS. IT IS EASY TO USE AS IT CAME WITH NO INSTRUCTION BOOKLET. I FOUND IT PRETTY SELF EXPLANATORY WITH THE DIFFERENT MENUS ETC. THE ONLY NEGATIVE POINT I WOULD MAKE IS THAT THE NUMBER BUTTONS ARE ON THE SMALL SIDE AND YOU HAVE TO PRESS THEM FIRMLY. VERY PLEASE WITH IT, EXCELLENT. WOULD BUY ANOTHER.

gr8 in every way would hav liked it 2 have been slimmer but apart from that easy to use and nice looking phone

over all if this item was working properly it would be a good house phone.. holds a large quantity of phone numbers but unfortunetly does not tell you who is calling you or the phone number of the person calling you which is not a big deal. the only problem i have with these phones is that when it rings you can not answer any calls when it is off the charging dock. so if it rings when off the dock i have to place it back on the dock and wait a few seconds for it to load again because the screen also konks out and goes blank but a few seconds after placing it back on the dock it loads up and starts ringing again. i have missed a few calls because of this fault. other than this they are fine.

i love the way i can put three phones around the house and they didnot have to go in a phone socket
i decided to buy them has they was really cheap on ebay and worth the money
only problem i have is after about fourty minutes on the phone it will turn its sell of good thing in a way has you cant go over the hour lol
