It's no 'I'm Wide Awake...' but it's still good
Some fantastic lyricism on this album, but musically it is nowhere near as soft or as heart-wrenchingly beautiful as usual Bright Eyes fare. It's entertaining, it's interesting, and you still get the expected, 'I know exactly what he means' feeling when lyrics such as, 'I should feel cheap but I just feel free' crop up.
But do not start your Bright Eyes collection here. I cannot recommend 'I'm Wide Awake It's Morning' enough. That is a perfect album. Almost.
