Brigadoon (DVD)

I did not like this seller at all he cashed my cheque and never sent goods i had emails from other ebayers saying this had happened to them i emailed several times with no reply.He then had the cheek to say i had not paid for goods after he cashed my cheque and put a strike against me. I am quite new to ebay but all this as put me off all so i am telling other people. I do think he needs looking in to from ebay as he trades under being a shop

i brought it because i have been after it for ages and couldnt find it in any of the shops ive been in thats why i think its a good idea having E-BAY

wonderful old dance/musical ,classic film with Gene kelly,escapeism at its best.brought for my hubby`s xmas present.

I have loved this film since I was a child. It is my all time favourite (along with The Five Pennies) as it brings back so many great memories. Brigadoon appears only for 1 day every hundred years and as such is far behind the world around it. It is a magical story of love and such a feel good movie that I could watch it again and again. A HEARTY FILM WHERE THEY HAVE A CHOICE OF RETURNING TO THEYRE OWN WORLD, OR CAN SETTLE THERE, BUT! THEY HAVE ONLY THAT DAY TO DECIDE, BEFORE THE VILLAGE DISSAPPEARS FOR ANOTHER 100 YEARS. AND THE MUSIC IS CATCHY TO, ITS GREAT.

What a very quick service and excellent quality DVD.I have looked all round in shops and cannot find any dvd,s to beat this.

Brigadoon is a classic film excelent family viewing can be watched anytime it contains magical places excelent songs great dancing and great acting I purchased it on ebay because one It was much cheaper than I could have purchased were I live and two it was asked for as part of a birthday present

watched this film when i was young and have gone through a nostalga stage ...so i enjoyed it maybe others wont

The movie is in fantstic vivid colour and is a musical that is must for all whom love that era of romance and love stories.

Ok so its raining and its Saturday and you haven't got the energy to water the plants, there's not a bean in the current account for a spot of therapy of the retail variety and so what to do????

....grab a DVD copy of Brigadoon is what you do...sit back and luxuriate in some pure fantasy, pink fluffy candyfloss for the brain. Not the Scottish highlands as we know and love them (complete with mist drenched hills and scavenging midges) but Hollywood's gorgeous sets intended to give Scottish flavour (like haggis but better) with the gorgeous and butt tight Gene Kelly dancing fit to bust with the ever stunning and long legged Cyd doing a passable Scottish accent and wrapping those long pins around every dance routine. Cotton wool for brains, candy for eyes and perfect for January blues, greys or even the mean old reds! Tartan rules!

This film was excellent, the car chases and explosions were top notch, highly recommended. the bit where Bing Crosby has his leg amputated by a Scottish nun was absolutly spellbinding. Do not watch this film if you are squeamish.

A very nice fantasy old-fashioned film set in a mythical village in Scotland called Brigadoon which only appeared every 100 years.Gene Kelly & his rather drunken friend, stumble across the village while on holiday in Scotland.Gene gets involved with one of the local lasses & love blossoms at speed.With the usual heart searching al ends up okay & love triumphs.
This was bought for my husband as he has always liked the film,so it s good to have it on D.V.D.

AN ALL TIME FAVORITE.
THERE IS SOMETHING MAGICAL ABOUT THIS FILM, YOU WAN'T TO WATCH IT OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
MOST MEN I FEEL WOULD LIKE TO BE IN GENE KELLY'S SHOES IN THAT FILM, THE DIRECTOR DID A WONDERFULL JOB ON THIS FILM.
YOU CAN NEVER FORGET THE ENDING, FANTASTIC.
YES, AS IN ALL OLD FILMS, THEY BECOME A BIT DATED, MOSTLY BACKGROUND SCENES, BUT THAT DOES NOT MATTER, ITS ALL APART OF THE 50'S MAGIC.

I love the old musicals this dvd is up with the top ten,superb acting the song and dance wonderful Gene Kelly at his best,worth watching over and over again.
