As a fan of the books & of the first film I really looked forward to seeing this movie. I left the cinema feeling I had been betrayed by a close friend. This film is only a shadow of the book. The funniest bits by far where missing & I was totally gutted. My biggest shock was that Helen Fielding had adapted it for screen......was she asleep when she did?.........a brain tumour maybe? Whatever the reason she has let herself down. Shame on you Helen for sending this film into the wild! If you like mediocrity then this film is for you.

A feel good movie to watch again and again.

I had seen the first film and badly wanted to see the second... i was very impressed as usually follow up films are never as good as the first. it made me laugh till my sides hurt.

A typical chick flick.
But one that your chap would find amusing too.

It relates quite close to the truth of a womans life.

Something that could be watched again and again in order to relate it to ones current feeling.

I would definitely pass on good reviews to my girlfriends.

I ENJOYED THE FIRST BRIDGET JONES SO, WHEN I SAW THE FOLLOW UP FOR SALE, THOUGHT IT WOULD BE INTERESTING TO WATCH AND ENJOYED THAT TOO. iT WAS A MOST WORTHWHILE PURCHASE.

I had to buy the sequel because the first was so good. I must admit the way the first one ended I didn't know how they could continue. It is very good and recommend it if you liked the first. There are times you think hang on this is a little like the first but then something else happens. Some wickedly funny surprises. A must see.

The first film was excellent, and this one was even better! - grab yourself a copy, a bottle of cheap white wine, and get the girlies round, for a truely fantastic night! I loved this film. I read both books a little while ago and just had to watch the films. The first film is excellent and I was a little wary about watching the second film as sometimes sequels aren't as good as the first film, but I am glad I watched it. It is brilliantly acted, funny and clever with the same characters that you can relate to, that were in the first film. All in all a good second film that isn't too demanding, just light hearted fun, a perfect chick flick! I am so glad that I spotted it for sale on ebay, I can watch it over and over again as well as adding to my collection!!!!

i like it because it is funny its is cheap to get from ebay it is for the hole family to see it i have got the other one to it i watch it on my own has i get watch the tv when every has gone out it is good i some times cry at the film the people are good it i like bridget is good in it

I have watched the first Bridget Jones Diary and really enjoyed it when I watched the Edge of reason thought this was much better than the first

Awesome film :D with a bag of popcorn and a duvet it has to be a cracking film with loads of laughs - a good girls movie. I enjoyed it as much as the first even though the storyline wasnt as busy. However Bridget triumphs agen, a must see for anyone who loves to laugh over and over agen! trust me its worth every penny and Hugh Grant and Colin Firth are as good looking as always :D Its amazing how similar you find yourself to Bridget, who's ditzy, self concious and giggly yet just wants to be loved :) WATCH IT!!!

Good entertaining film but if you've read the book it digresses from the thread but is nonetheless amusing

it is a real blast of comedy. i bought it for my husband as this is one of his favourites. So glad its on DVD

This movies is another good attempt in comparison with the books, they do miss somw parts oout but I suppose they cant do everything in 2 hours :)

I bought this because im a big fan of Colin Firth and Hugh Grant
now im a big fan of Renee too. The film was hilarious from start to finish.

It seems that, now, even romantic comedies have gone the way of cookie-cutter action flicks in their being too formulaic.

Spare yourself watching this movie. The gist is this: the new Bridget Jones is a blubbery, stupid, awkward woman. She goes on various trips and social outings, never failing to fall down, make stupid comments, spill things on people, put her makeup on wrong, etc etc ad nassssseum. Think slapstick comedy. Think the Curly from the 3 stooges, getting bonked on the head for the 212th time. It gets old fast.

In the first movie, I think a lot of girls could sympathize with her flub-ups and awkwardness because Bridget was also witty and intelligent, in spite of her shortcomings. Only this time around she's pretty much just a waste of space.

Oh, by the way, there isn't actually any plot development for the movie. Just endless scenes of Bridget making a fool of herself.

They always say sequels are worse than the original movie, but I've never seen one so much abysmally worse than the first.

This is a terrific follow on. The joint is almost seemless and Rene Zellweger is smashing again as the clueless, bereft Bridget.
If we all suffered this level of misfortune the asylums would be bursting and suicide would be too frequent.
Bridget is lovely, if a little unaware of how lucky she is. Mark is a classic "nice guy" hero, unwilling to take credit for his actions

great film,. if your down will cheer you up instantly. both films of bridget jones are brilliant. typical women who can relate to any woman. fantastic

I love this film. It cheers you up under any circumstances. It's fun and easy to watch. All girls together or on your own.

How can anyone not love Bridget Jones? Well ok if you are a guy i guess its not for you, but if you are looking for a funny easy to watch chick flick then this has to be my all time favourite. Of course as soon as you see the scene of the embarrassing jumpers at mum's for christmas you just know how its going to go. Lots of very funny, embarrassing moments that the actors play really well making all of the situations believable. I loved the scene where Bridget turns up to the vicars and tarts party being the only bunny girl and her dad is the only vicar. Lots of laughs all of the way through.
