I'm 50-ish and don't like shaving. It's time consuming, my stubble blunts razor blades and I hate the mess. Out of a pack of 10 twin/triple blades 6 will be blunt after the first shave - so it also becomes quite expensive. I have tried countless brands but as soon as I find a brand that works they seem to disappear from the market place.
My stubble pokes fun at electric shavers. It always has. It defeated foil shavers back in the 70's and the rotary triples of the 80's. However the Remington Intercept put up a good show at Y2K but Mr Stubble has seen off three of them since and their quality has gone downhill. I purchased a Braun two years ago in a Comet sale and was reasonably impressed. I could run a razor over my face in the shower and then finish off with the Braun after I dried and got dressed. However it was starting to get a bit tired and I happened to catch a review of the new Braun Pulsonic which sounded good. I kept an eye on the old auctions and picked up a bargain a few weeks back.
The pulsonic is quite a leap forward: it's fast, not to noisy, fits my face and actually does quite a good job of it. It's not perfect first time but a second run just before I go out of the door does the trick. It also doesn't aggravate my skin like the other used to and it holds it's charge really well without any noticeable slowing down. I am well pleased with it and will happily recommend it without hesitation.

This is the new expensive shaver from Braun. I have used Braun shavers for many years and thought them to be very good,but having tried the new shaver I was really surprised by the shave;it is almost as good as a wet shave! The shaver is yery easy to use and only needs a quick blow after use.

I bought this razor due to new work commitments which meant I had to shave every day. Normally this would not have been possibile as my growth is particularly coarse and I suffer from razor burn, cuts and rashes as a result of wet shaving frequently. While this does not shave as close as a wet shave it does come quite close and beter than any other electric shaver I have used till now without irritating the skin. Only slight problem is it does not shave all of my neck as close as the rest of my face (some perserverance with the lock setting may help) but this may be down to the thickness of the hair on my face which can be described as seth brundle type hair from the film "the fly" !!! I have used this now for 2-3 weeks and have had no irritation or redness whatsoever from day 1. It is very easy to clean and holds a charge for a decent amount of time. It is also quite sturdy and gives the confidence after a couple of shaves to go right in about your face closely without any fear. I would recommend this to anyone who is not confident to use an electric razor as it will surprise you just how close it shaves and without the irritation, bleeding or redness.

Fed up with my huspand's good-natured grousing about his 5-year-old razor, I decided to do something about it. Being housebound I scoured e-bay and came up with this one. I was attracted by both price and brand-name.

) I've been using electric shavers for more than thirty years, but this one is by far the best I've ever tried. It replaced an older Braun, which worked perfectly well, but when the switch failed I obviously looked at the newer Braun models and ordered this one based on reviews elsewhere.
First thoughts on arrival were that it was very light and flimsy-looking, and somewhat garishly coloured. However, first use was something else - it gives an amazing cut on the first pass, accompanied by a very high pitched whine suggesting extremely fast moving parts. It's big, but the moulded shape is very easy to grip (much better than the old 'rounded rectangle' Brauns) and great to use. And the shave is extremely close - wet shave standard, without the hassle.
It can also be cleaned and washed out under the tap, which I've tried once but then spent a while re-oiling it as I doubted water and precision engineered blades were a good long-term mix. But that's probably just my paranoia!
The carrying case is interesting; being a cheap-looking hard plastic case that is moulded to be the same size as the shaver. Looked horrible, but actually saved a huge amount of space in my washbag when I travelled and protected the shaver much more than the soft leatherette-style wallet Braun used to supply.
I'm only a couple of months in, but this is a 10/10 product.

This is a great shgaver at a good price. At the beginning, I was disappointed it did not work with my earlier Braun's cleaning system but the fact it is water washable means it is easier, takes up less cupbouar space and saves a lot of money!

I wasn't a big electric shave fan but I read good things about this Braun and I am really happy with my decision. It is an extremely powerful machine and it gives an excellent cut nearly as a wet shave avoiding the mess. I can recommend it to everybody who wants a quick and precise shaver. To be perfectly honest the trimmer could be better but it is not bad just I thought it will be as good as the shaver itself. But it gets the job done.
