The Bourne Identity (DVD)

Based on a book by Robert Ludlum,
Excellent interpretation of the book, a movie with great production values makes this thriller ‘a one to watch’ for action fans.

Speaking with ‘hindsight’ this is a great start to a three film franchise.

This is the re-packaged version if you have the original DVD it’s not worth buying this one, unless you’re a collector.


Plot summary:

Some fishermen pull a body of a man from the sea, even though he has two bullet holes in him, he is alive, and unfortunately he cannot remember who he is.

During the removal of the bullets an implant is discovered containing the number of a Swiss bank account.

Once healed the young man goes to Zurich accesses the account and discovers his name is Jason Bourne, also within the deposit box is a large amount of cash and numerous passports with his picture on them.

When confronted, his reflex reaction is to use his awesome martial arts skills, during the journey to discover who he is, other skills become apparent.
This journey will take him to confront directly with the CIA

Nice extras on the DVD, if you want more try the special edition. For those wanting value for money try the boxset with all three films.

The Bourne Identity has great suspense, and has really good action sequences. The music, I thought, was fantastic, and it all combines to make an excellent movie.

Verdict? An excellent movie full of action and suspense.

great all action film, well worth watching, with the added bonus of a very thrilling car chase involving a classic mini !!

I rate this film 10/10 because it is so amazing in every possible aspect.

Matt Damon at his best. This is the first part to the best trilogy ever! Really good action sequences coupled with intelligent manoeuvres. This film gives birth to a new breed of action films. Bourne Identity is not a film to be watched on its own however. The plot is difficult to understand without watching the sequels along with it.

i like this film because of the action scenes they are so realistic and a good story also got the other two films which are also great hope this helps you and makes you want to go and get the films highly recommend.

Loved the film, high powered, high tech, very intelligent - well made film based on a novel from a world famous author (Robert Ludlum). Superb acting Matt Damon and Chris Cooper brilliant action sequences. Very tense thriller. One for my growing collection.
