I purchased my QuietComfort 2 headphones for the flight back from the USA, thinking they might help me keep some of the engine and screaming kids noise out,and I might just get some sleep this time.

Sad to say no sleep on this flight, the Headphones were so good I watched 2 films in fantastic undisturbed stereo and listened to endless music. These headphones are the best the world has to offer at present. They come with their own case, Extension lead and different jacks for aircraft ect.

Just go to a shop and ask for a demonstration and I lay odds that you will walk out with a pair. The sound is so clear, smooth and best of all no background noise what so ever. They go for about £150 in USA or £225 here in the UK so just see what your bidding on and go for it.

Hope you have as many good hours listening as I have had. Good luck.

  Bose Quiet Comfort 2 Headphones

I have been wanting to buy a pair of the Bose Quiet Comfort 2 headphones for
a couple of years now.I tried them in a Bose shop once and thought the sound
quality and noise cancelling feature were superb.
The build quality is very good and even the unique case protects them perfectly.
I will mostly be using them to listen to my Archos videos and music, either on
the train or flight.
Definately recommended.

Not perfect, but just what I wanted

I bought these because I wanted and alternative to my in-ear (V-Moda) phones. The noise cancelling is excellent, and the sound quality is too. I find my ears get hot after a while, which is a bit irritating but I suppose unavoidable.

Very happy overall with them - but glad I didn't pay full price for them new - that would have been a little too much for my taste.

  Bose QC2 Quietcomfort 2 headphones
Review created: 22/06/08

Made by Bose - the same rich sound from the headphones as from all the market leading Bose systems. Listen to a "FAT" track on any MP3 player and you will be amazed on the quality of sound that you hear - many effects and tones usually missed when using a standard set of phones.
I used these in my office, where there is an abundance of ambient noise from the several PCs and general office background noise. When the "noise canceling" is activated, the background noise simply stops - this helped me to concentrate on working - definitely.
These cans are superbly comfortable, they pivot and swivel in the correct axis to mould to everyones head - well manufactured and made to last.

Expensive, but worth it in my views.

  The Best Over-Ear Headphones Around!
Review created: 09/06/08

If you're a traveller, be it train or plane you won't want to be without these headphones. If your flying, put the headphones on and it's as if the aircraft's engines have been switched off. Sound quality is nothing short of superb whether it's a movie you want to watch or massive bass from a Prodigy track!

Battery life is excellent and the carry case is strong enough to protect the headphones even when they're jammed into a travel bag with all your other stuff.

They definitely work better with a constant background noise; they struggle to cancel intermittent background stuff but I don't know of any headphone manufacturer that has a product capable of doing that!

Wouldn't be without them!

  Bose 2 Quiet Comfort Headphones

I bought them besause I wanted peace on an aeroplane and to be able to listen to anything that could come down a wire in the knowlege that I was not annoying others. I have found them excellent for what I bought them for and the sound is certainly the best quality I have heard. The "over ear" are no more comfortable than the "on ear". I have tried both in hot places and both make my ears feel hot and sweaty after a while. There should be an on/off cut off when not in use as it is easy to forget to switch off when you have finished using them. Perhaps the warning light in a different place or something. There should be an option for a microphone too as we all now use
internet phones and have to change to a set of cheapies for this. I think there is an aero model but guess it will cost more than most people are
prepared to pay.

  Bose = Best
Review created: 02/06/08

I was getting tired of listening to my music through regular headphones e.g, on the underground i couldn't even hear anything, and thats when i want to listen to my music most, (whilst i travel).
When you need to listen to music, you just want to hear the music, the bose quiet comfort headphones provide you not just that but also they are rather comfortable.
The only negative it has is the fact batteries do not last long on the headphones so i have to buy a load of AAA batteries, other than that that they are great.

It has long been frustrating trying to listen to a CD with extraneous noise providing interference. These headphones allow the listener to enjoy their favourite music without having to ignore "noises off". As soon as they are put on, the wearer enters a world of peace and quiet. It is surprising just how much ambient sound there is in the average environment - background television, the hum of domestic appliances such as fridge/freezers - but these headphones blank them all. An excellent purchase.

  Good but expensive

Extremely comfortable for a full head set but a little larger than I had imagined. For the money I had expected it would shut out 95% of noise but would put the figure nearer 80% - though that of course is a subjective estimate

  Bose QC2 headphones
Review created: 21/10/09
by:

The QC3 must be really special if they are to eclipse the mark 2.
These are truly excellent headphones. In both the noise reduction and standard mode, they are superb. Comfortable, warm sound and oh so easy to fall asleep wearing. Unless of course your taste is rather manic. Well made and excellently packaged. The bespoke case is well worth having, so expect a good discount if this is missing. "No-one ever regrets buying the best"

  Bose Quite Comfort 2

I have found the sound quality delivered by these Bose headphones to be absolutely superb, and the noise-cancelling feature is excellent -- vital for long-haul transatlantic flights! The only criticisms I have are: 1) the earphone swivel connection could be more robust -- you really need to ensure that these very expensive headphones are stored in their case when not in use as the swivel joint is delicate and breaks easily; and 2) the ear pads get grotty pretty quickly. Other than that, a super piece of kit -- very expensive, but worth every penny for me.

Good but too pricey! Sennheisers are better :)
Review created: 28/08/09
by:

I have used various noise cancelling headphone from other brands. This is a nice headphone I must say. Buying a pair suitable for you is a difficult touch. The sound quality is very good, yet it falls below my expectations. Bose speakers are great but the QC2 headphone are not as great as it should be comparing the price. Noise cancelling works well, but my Sennheiser PXC350 produce better sound than this one and its half the price of QC2. The headphone uses 1 AAA battery which is good, but you cannot use the headphone at all if the battery dies. The passive noise reduction is average. No volume control is a very disappointing fact from Bose. I need to reduce the sound from the headphone as it is is not convenient to use my iPhone every time if I want to do that.
Overall, if you are a fan of bose or want to show off and have a great deal of money, you can go for it. Otherwise my choice will be Sennheiser PXC350 or PXC450. The PXC450 is around the same price as Bose QC2 but reproduces the sound better with better noise reduction. It also has a TalkThrough function which is awesome. I am returning my pair, sorry Bose!

Without doubt the king of frequent flyers tool kit.
Review created: 29/05/09

c4ttr ( 10)

As a frequent flyer I would not be without them.

I prefer the QC2 model over the QC3 purely due to the way the ear cup fully covers the ear in a comfortable way. This is a personal choice and may not suit others.

The clarity and quality of this device is second to none, thus reducing the stress of long flights.

Duribilty directly relates to how well you look after them of course but with over 220k airmiles p.a. under the belt of my 3 year old pair without any hint of a problem I think they must be up to the challenge. This review relates to a forth pair of these earphones we now own as a family.

Loved them until the head band fell to bits, this was the replacement pair which have now gone the way of the first pair and I have been so careful with them. For 300 quid, plastic that won't last more than 2 years is pathetic.

  Bose QuietComfort 2 Consumer Headphones
Review created: 03/01/09
by:

These headphones are a must for those wanting high quality sound without external distraction. They are prohibitively expensive when bought retail so it's worth considering buying a secondhand pair through eBay. Make sure you check the sellers feedback before bidding though. I got mine from a power seller and they are an ex-display pair, a real bargain!

  Bose or Bust
Review created: 14/10/08

Most importantly, I love the Bose QuietComfort 2 Headphones. They are extremely comfortable, they produce a nice sound, and do a magnificent job of blocking noise. I have had several pairs of noise canceling headphones in the past (from Senheisser and Sony), and these Bose are by far the best. Pros include- user replaceable battery (AAA), extreme comfort, noise canceling qualities. Cons- Rather bulky in the case (but who cares, really), and for some people the price (although the $299 price is extremely reasonable).
Verdict- Buy them if the price is not important to you, I even preferred them to the QC3.

looks, style and quality of product is excellent. Although not as compact as the QC3 headphones, the QC2 headphones are much more comfprtable to wear over long periods. I would recommend to anyone on the edge of buying.
