  Boo Radleys 'C'mon Kids'
Review created: 14/11/06

The Boo Radleys are more colourful cousins to their far more successful label mates, Oasis. As such they are much under-rated and frequently overlooked.
So, before the listener invests in the new Oasis compilation album (released November 06), they should first purchase 'Wake up boo' and this album.
The BRs have the layered Brit Pop electric guitar rush when they need it, but this is interspersed with lovely passages of all sorts of other wonderful sounds and effects. In the same way the Small Faces added psychedelic colour to the basic R'n'B sound in 1967, so the BRs add numerous shades of 1990s studio colour to the sound of Brit Pop guitar.
Their writing is consistently tuneful, intelligent and occasionally nicely weird.
So, C'mon Kids, look a bit outside the box and pick this up on e-bay for probably less than £2.50
