Album Notes
Bon Jovi finally offers CROSS ROAD, a collection of their best songs plus two recent compositions and a new version of a classic. Fans and first-timers alike will delight in and sing along with this choice blend of hard pop and edgy anthems. "Someday I'll Be Saturday Night" and "Always" continue the Bon Jovi tradition of gritty love songs and rock poetry. Jon Bon Jovi's coarse yet smooth vocals reach out and paint images of characters caught in an American scenic painting, "gotta live my life like I ain't got nothin' but this roll of the dice" Jon Bon Jovi claims in one song. With "Prayer '94" the band offers a toned-down version of "Livin' On A Prayer" which through its subdued, semi-acoustic demeanor achieves an intensity not found in the original. CROSS ROAD reminds us why Bon Jovi is such a successful band. Solid songwriting, excellent production and a killer sound will keep this band on the charts.

Seemed fitting to write this guide having just bought tickets for their 2008 tour, I remember the first time I heard of Bon Jovi, it was a radio edit release called Runaway - which is still possibly one of the best tracks I have ever heard and rightly so, included on Cross Roads a CD combining old favourites and catchy rhythms with more recent releases.

Ideal to put on full belt to annoy the neighbours, you will not be disappointed. This CD has Livin on Prayer as it's opening track, from Bon Jovi's early career, fast forward in time to Keep the Faith and then the CD bounces round a number of the big hits,

Track list is Living on a Prayer, Keep the Faith, Someday I'll be Saturday Night, Always, Wanted Dead or Alive, Lay your hands on me (gladly Jon!), You give love a bad name, Bed of Roses, Blaze of Glory, In these arms tonight, Bad Medicine, I'll be there for you, In and out of Love, Runaway and finally Never Say Goodbye.

I for one can not wait for 22 June 2008, when I am seeing them in concert.

Nice one lads

Happy listening
Suz xx
