Album Notes This extensive overview of Bob Marley's early years includes quite a few rarities, among the usual examples of the embryonic reggae superstar's late-'60s and early-'70s career such as "Small Axe," "Don't Rock My Boat," and "Soul Rebel." "Caution" is a little-heard gem featuring the immaculate background vocals of Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer, while "Soon Come" features Tosh in a rare lead vocal performance of a track he was later to re-record on his own.Mostly though, NATURAL MYSTIC is a chance to grab some early Marley at a bargain price. That the music is consistently wonderful is a given, as is the fact that it appears in many other places in different formations. But at 23 tracks, this is a bargain that shouldn't be ignored.
