  The Legendary "Judas" Concert

First off, what you get: Two CDs in the case plus a cracking 50+ page booklet all packed into a card oversleeve.

The concert you hear is not from the Albert Hall, but from the Manchester gig on the same tour. Disc one is the acoustic set and side two the electric one. During the latter there are catcalls between songs and, before the final number, a voice calls "Judas". "I don't believe you" snarls Dylan, "you're a liar", then comes the famous line, attributed to both Dylan and Robbie Robertson, but most likely the latter, of "Play f***ing loud" as Dylan and The Hawks blast into Like A Rolling Stone.

As the year passed, Dylan released Blonde on Blonde then had his motorcycle accident and retired to Woodstock with The Hawks. As The Hawks evolved into The Band, Music From Big Pink was created as were the much bootlegged until officially released much later Basement Tapes.

This double CD is an important historical record of a pivotal moment in Rock. The live recording puts you there as it unfolds. Well worth having in your collection.

  Bob Dylan at his best.

This is a fresh mix straight from the three track master tapes of possibly the most famous 'bootleg' of all. For me this is Dylan at his best. Disc one is acoustic and it's great. Disc two is electric and so is the atmosphere it culminates in an angry rousing version of 'Like a Rolling Stone' If you like 'Bringing It All Back Home' 'Highway sixty One' and 'Blonde on Blonde' you will love this.
