When the Boat Comes In

I've waited 33 years to see this again and have not been disappointed. James Bolam's performance is wonderful and the supporting cast perform their parts to perfection.
I have only one criticism - not of the series - and that is the eccentric way the DVDs are presented. They're in a very stiff plastic box which doesn't open right out and is inclined to snap at one's fingers. As far as I can see, there is no way to avoid getting them out of order because they are not numbered consecutively and are packed back to back. Some of them give the Series number, but not all and the various photographs on the discs are no help, nor are the serial numbers. I'm going to have to write to the company that produced them, and beg for a list of episodes.
A marvellous series, which has lost none of its appeal over the years since it was first produced. If only the BBC were still able to make marvels like this, I'm sure there would be no complaints about paying for the TV License.
