What is not to dislike about this fantastic series. We brought this as it something you can watch over and pver and we thought it would be very educational for our son in years to come.

this is the most fantastic film about natures theres ever made! It really sucks you into the live in the water - feels like a whole new world! I just love it!

I purchased this boxset after seeing the recent David Attenborough documentary "Life in Cold Blood" on BBC1. I have just finished watching the final episode having worked my way through the set over the last several weeks. The combination of stunning underwater camerawork combined with a dramatic soundtrack makes for truly unique experience. very relaxing to watch on a sunday evening. the episode dealing with deep sea life was particularly fascinating!!

This is a truly fantastic dvd - even if you are not into nature programmes, you'll love this - beautifully filmed, extremely interesting. Highly recommended!

Bought as a present, fantastic as contains superb soundtrack from award winning composer whilst watching life in the deep blue.

a must watch over and over again. the camera work and background music are first class. the film is mesmorising.

A video well worth buying, and easy to watch over and over. I would definatley purchase more title's in the same series, if you like Attenbourgh them this is a must see.

For any nature lover, a beautiful journey into the underwater world seldom captured as brilliantly as David Attenborough. A classic which makes a great gift if bought with another Planet Earth dvd or book. A visual masterpiece!!

Excellent copy of the fantastic BBC series about the deep blue. The music is stunning as well as the images.

It’s hard to rain too many superlatives on The Blue Planet, surely one of the finest and most fascinating nature documentaries ever made. But nonetheless, we’re going to try.
Long in the making, the idea behind the show was to, using some cutting-edge technology, film previously unseen areas of the ocean, and to investigate life beneath the waves. And in doing so, it pretty much encompasses the full spectrum of creature size. From the staggering, gigantic whale of the first episode, through the miniscule life that’s documented as the programme progresses, it’s a jaw-dropping experience.

It’s also a very, very accessible one. Thanks to a diligent, warm narrative from Sir David Attenborough, there’s plenty of fact married up to the sheer spectacle of The Blue Planet, although in many ways the stunning photography almost needs no accompaniment. It’s timeless work, too, with immense rewatch value, uncovering both life that’s never been photographed previously while charting the habits of the more familiar. Icing The Blue Planet’s cake is a series of short pieces documenting just how some of the incredible pictures were captured, and these are almost as interesting as the main feature.

Enough of those superlatives, though. Because The Blue Planet simply demands to be seen and enjoyed. Prepare, like many before you, to be mesmerised.

great series which i entertaining for all ages. a real classic with excellent filming and unique images throughout.

This is the original TV series, which as you would expect from David Attenbourgh,is really great. The quality of the filming of the subject matter and the content,make this a really realistic experence.

Must see. Great fun to watch. Very informative too. It is so comprehensive that one must buy as a guide or a reference. This set of DVDs are valuable for all generations and for all groups.

It comes with slightly hefty price tag but I consider wirth buying.
