Blaupunkt Lucca 3.3 Car GPS Receiver

This is an easy to use sat-nav with clear visual and voice instructions. It offers town or postcode entry before calculating your journey. Apart from directions it also calculates distance, arrival time and speed. There are two criticisms:
1. Sometimes it shows the speed limit and sometimes it doesn't. I don't think it has ever shown a 30 or 40 limit but invariably shows 70 on a motorway which I really don't need. It does not show temporary speed limits or speed cameras.

2. When approaching a junction a visual icon comes up - right hand bend for example or roundabout together with a vertical series of blocks - growing taller as you approach and then a voice command turn right now. But, one has to be careful when there are two right turns which are less than 30 yds apart - it is easy to take the first rather than the second which happens to be the route.

Where the Blaupunkt comes into its own is in cross-country journeys off A-roads at night and, if for that reason along, I would recommend this sat-nav.
