"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!"
Very sweet dramatization of Anna Sewell's Classic book! I still have trouble controlling my emotions over Ginger's (Poor Sweet, Mis-Understood Ginger)premature "departure" from this world. As a horse lover/owner there are some totally glaring glitches in the film, namely the scene with Black Beauty Galloping under saddle where the saddle dramatically slides back!
On the whole though this is a well thought out and executed film of the book, my children have learnt that things weren't as easy for horses in the past as they are these days! My own thoroughbred for example is spoilt rotten, probably receiving better care now than the aristocracy of the day could have provided!!
A wonderful film to watch with many life lessons to teach to up and coming would be riders/ horse/pony owners.
You will love this film!!
