Bjork - Post (CD 1999)

This is a brilliant CD, does not beat Homogenic of course but it is the CD that changed her pop'ish debut and turned her into the abstract non-mainstream singer that she deserves to be known as. If you are a fan you need this if you are not a fan open your mind for a second and listen to this....great stuff - she is fantastic

Cause I was looking for 1 song from Bjork only and because it was already 10 years old and couldn't find it in the shops

I must admit to not being fully up to speed with this artist but all credit must go to anyone pushing boundaries. I am by the way of the Zappa generation when it comes to boundary pushing music. This sounds just a bit too much like the sort of thing my daughter might like. Nonetheless it has an attitude and there are some very interesting melodies - enough to make me listen again and explore other releases. Sense of humour maybe lacking...

This CD is great! I first listened to this album when my Aunt lent it to within a week of it being released, when i was 11!! I recorded it to tape but when it just completely disintigrated recently i knew that i had to update and buy the CD and boy am i glad that i did!
The style is just so different compared to the type of music released today and was certainly a blast from the past for me. It's completely original with very unique lyrics and just so addictive.
Something i'd definately recommend to everyone!!

i have Bjork's debut album and Homogenic. So this completed my set of 3 for her work at this time. Havnt heard her newer stuff but this early work is wicked. Deep, dark and moving.The instruments sound awesome. Fave tracks are: Isobel, Hyperballad. If you enjoy this album then Homogenic is a must

I've always been a huge Bjork fan and love scooping her albums up for cheap on ebay, I think this one cost me £3 or something so understandably i was already chuffed when it came through the door. But, 'Post' really is something else entirely and just goes to show you should never think one of Bjork's albums could be worse than the rest; she only makes the outstanding. My two favourite tracks are '5 years' and 'All Neon Like'. Otherworldly, passsionate and with the most amazing vocals you will ever hear!
