Whilst technically there are only 8 Channels on these radios and squelch offsets, doesn't mean that these radios are 304 channel. With a 5km range, I would have hoped for slightly better quality, even when using a Vox headset these radio's are just not loud enough! they suffer badly from interference and I would personally spend a little more next time on a set of Motorola PMR 466s.
