Billy Connolly Live - Was It Something I Said? (DVD)

This was a last minute purchase. When it came I could not wait to watch it, I have since seen it twice more. Great comedy, great value for money.

Just what you have come to expect from Billy Connolly. Funny observations on life and love. This is a great addition for any Billy fans out there. I would reccomend this

i decided to buy this dvd as i am a great fan of billy connolly.he is still at his best after all this years.i have all of his dvds.he is a very funny man.

typical billy, plenty agro plenty stories and and very funny as usual.
i dont seem to have any low points too mention in this dvd
from the start its full on right until the end crdits

This is in a long line of DVD/Videos used to promote Billy's unique style of humour. Not for the faint hearted or those of a 'prudish' disposition. I don't normally like swearing in conversation but somehow Connolly filters in the profanities and makes it seem acceptable.
He starts a story and it meanders off into yet another one and never seems to get back to the starting line. The secret seems to be that an exaggeration of real life is funnier than anything you can invent.

What can I say about Billy Connolly, you either love his work or you don't! I do! He's at his genial, witty best. I grew up with his wit and wisdom (yes in his repetoir there is plenty of it, though I don't agree with all his views) Be prepared for lots of swearing, as in all his shows, but if you can get over that, he'll make you laugh, sometimes till you cry with mirth :-)

I watched this DVD with friends and we laughed all the way through. If your a fan of Billy you won't be disappointed.

Billy connolly is aknown funny man and here he does not disappoint! Time out listed this DVD as top ten live comedy stand ups of all time. this is evident.

what can you say about bc, you either love him or hate him , i personally have seen him live a couple of times 90 and 08...hes different but he made me ache for days after by laughing so much both times and this dvd is no different...funny as hell and easily the funniest comedian around today ...thank god pamela sold the house and got him out to work again

An absolute must for all long term BC fans. Not for the faint hearted, or people who don't really know his stuff. The older material is undoubtedly the best, however this is at least worth a watch.
Bet Pamela worries sometimes about where Billy is going to park the bike.

I decided to buy this item because Billy Connolly is the funniest man alive and always produces good entertainment value. This DVD is great to watch with Billy's usual jump from story to story leaves you hoping the DVD will never end.

this dvd is one of billy's best. If you like billy then this is the perfect dvd for you, it's full of laughs all the way through and it's classic billy on stage

Not as brilliant as previous shows, slightly disappointed. At least I didnt buy it new full price. I shall keep it though.

I bought it for my son who lives abroad and doesn't always find the forces television entertaining. He finds Billy hilarious and something he can watch over and over again.

Oh dear - as a cure for insomnia it was great - as a laugh a minute - it seemed to last a day. Sorry Billy you used to be fresh, original and funny. Sadly ranting about every aspect of Christianity; Muslim women and those who enjoy both just didn't make me laugh. I'm neither Christian or Muslim - and have no axes to grind. I was going to sell it on e-bay but would worry about being in breach of the trade descriptions act!
