i love this film.
This film will have you balling with sadness and laughter.bette midler is so funny.the comedy scences in this film will, indirectly and naturally make u laugh
in brief it looks bac on two women who accidently met wen they were young girls,on a beach! they are from totally differnet walks of life and remain excellent friends, keeping in contact by mail, until they finally meet again in their early 20's. this film is biopic, looking back on their lives, highs and lows.unfortunately one of them gets ill, strengthening their friend ship. i wont spoil the ending for you.

...it is an classic, they do not make films like this anymore.the film is an show of real friendship
