Album Notes Re-imagining some of the best-loved popular songs of the seventies, Barry Manilow unleashes his silky vocal timbre over a fresh repertoire on this follow-up to his 'The Greatest Songs Of The Sixties'. 'The Greatest Hits Of The Seventies' takes in such classics as Simon & Garfunkel's 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' and The Carpenters' 'Close To You', as well as new acoustic versions of some of Manilow's most well-known songs. Produced by long-time collaborator Clive Davis, this release is a reminder of both Manilow's extensive back catalogue and his skill as an interpreter of other artists' work.
